Unable to fight enemies

I was playing when after a few hours for some reason I could no longer fight the enemies or cause damage to them but they were still visible. This is more of a heads up but I found that should this happen to anyone then best to just log out then log back in and should work fine again. Unsure as to why this happens tho.
