Give ESO Plus members unlimited ability to tweak and fine-tune their appearance, and I'm sold

In addition to having a consuming Crown appearance-change, I think if ESO Plus allowed you to constantly tweak your character's appearance, that would make for a pretty strong selling point.

Note that I'm talking only about appearance, and Voice; not Race or Faction. Those should remain Crown-only, and maybe a bit more significant cost, at least in the case of Faction-change, simply to discourage changing one's identity.

Anyways, I can't speak for anyone else, obviously, but it's Day One on PS4, and I've already deleted and recreate a character because of their appearance, and I'm already seeing where I would like to further fine-tune their appearances.

Bonus points if you add new, better Hair and Beard styles.

I agree, apart from the faction change... IMO it should never be added. You rolled the faction you did for a reason, and you SHOULD have to lvl through the starting areas for each faction. Makes you really learn what you're fighting for in Cyrodiil, in regards to lore anyways.
Aside from the above, words cannot describe how badly I want to change both appearance and race for my character... It's not a matter of min/maxing or whatever is the "flavor-of-the-month". It's about me being fairly drunk when I made my character... I don't want to be a wood-elf nor do I want to look like a midget Legolas with horns and a pedo-stache. By the time I actually noticed what I looked like, I was already VR1 and rerolling was not an option. I regret my decisions @ZOS_GinaBruno , please let me fix them!

Give ESO Plus Members more of an incentive to keep paying for the game by either giving us the ability to constantly tweak your appearance or atleast set it on a short timer...
As far as race and/or class go, make them crown-based. Don't allow faction changes unless you can only change it once when you've finished Cadwell's Silver & Gold.

I would agree that ESO Plus would be a perfect platform for an unlimited COSMETIC update of the character. Appearance and voice, but definitely not race or Alliance.

Those latter two, if offered, should be Crown Store only (no gold) and expensive... bleed 'em dry.

Name changing was not mentioned in the OP. If they continue to not show the names of the characters on the console, or make the player have to hunt for that information, I doubt that a name change function would be very well used on PS4 and XBox.

On the PC, however, where character names still rule the roost, I think that those should be Crown Store only, like the race and Alliance.

After staring at the same hairstyle for more than a year, I would pay big amounts of money to be able to put my char's hair into a ponytail. I don't even want to change her face, just the hairstyle, please...

As for the alliance change, I am in favor of that. I created a DC char first and leveled her up til vet2, and then made an EP one and she became my main, and now all my friends, my guildmates, everyone I know and play with is in the EP. So my DC char is abandoned, and it will be abandoned, cause without friends to help out and to do dungeons, etc. with, I don't want to play...

Why should name changes be expensive/discouraged? I don't think player handles should be changeable but I see no reason not to allow easy/cheap/even free character name changes.

    Abuse prevention.

While the account name does not change, someone could change their name in order to hide from others so that they can pester (harass is a strong word and implies a report to ZOS)

Players should not be able to create a brand new character at the same level without playing the game. This is taking "Bob" the VR14 Nord Dragonknight and making "Jumps-In-Puddles" the VR14 Argonian Sorcerer without actually creating the new character. Changing appearance is one thing, but changing Gender, Race, Alliance, and Name should be less accessible, if at all possible.

OMFG YES! I would go ESO plus instantly if this was a thing. The current system is so annoying with the character deletion cap. Also, it's frustrating to advance pretty far into the game only to discover that your character sounds like Timmy from South Park when he unleashes a steel tornado. I just couldn't keep going.... I didn't have the strength to endure such an annoyance.

This is one of the best suggestions I've seen for ESO plus and, yes, it's a huge selling point.

I think faction change should definitely be possible after Cadwell's Gold and Silver. It makes sense, too. After experiencing another faction, it only stands to reason that one might defect. It would actually help justify doing quests for other factions and add to playing how you want.

I would just love for them to really just give you something for being a Plus member. Like extra slots in bank or carrying capacity thing. Right now all looks like you got was some crowns (which not much in store yet) and a ability that isn't noticeable....

agree with op - just add more styles, most of the characters in the game look like clones, stay kinda lore friendly though like broken fang/tusk for the orc, more hair styles, user made patterns for the argonian and khajiit - like the dye system but with a pelt, many more hair styles and beard and accessories that dont share with the beards - aion style character creation but not to that extreme

I know this is impossible, but I would love it if our characters' hair actually grew over time and needed to be cut every month or so--with a trip to the barber, paid in gold. It would also make it fun when players want to bet haircuts on competitive matches, with the winner deciding the loser's new hair for a month.

Anyway, the closest to feeling like your character's hair is really growing, i.e. being more immersive as an rpg, would be for eso Plus members to get to choose their haircut once a month, as in at any time during the month-long subscription. when the next month starts, they can get another haircut at any time during that.

Also, I find your mix of hairstyles a little bland--I would probably pay small amounts of crowns for packs of additional hair styles (and colors.) I have played FFIV online, as well as Neverwinter Nights, and for MMO's I thought their hair choices were at least as good or better than ESO. It just feels like a continuation of Skyrim, where the hair styles were mostly just ugly and boring, and didn't compare to a lot of other rpg's that I've played. I actually was disappointed choosing my characters' appearance in Skyrim, as it seemed worse than in Oblivion. Go to a salon and flip through the books in the waiting room, and program in some interesting (and nice-looking, not just "well, this is different from the others") styles. Modern-day cuts and styling is much less jarring to me than the stupid character names I'm seeing.

I agree with you on all but the name. Anything that changes your stats is problematical and requires more work from the devs. But if I have a V14 sorcerer and decide to kill her off as part of a roleplay story line I should darn well be able to go back to char gen and change her appearance (and even sex if I am so inclined since sex has no bearing on stats in this game) and her name. This way I can have a new character for RP purposes without having to invest the insane amount of time re-doing all the content I've already done. But I agree that if what I really want to do is stop playing a sorcerer and start playing a DK that I need to roll that character and level it from scratch.

As to name changes being a problem because of jerks... decent players who are NOT being jerks should not be punished because of this. Also, you should be able to right click on a character's name and see their gamer tag. The gamer tag should never be changeable. And that would completely take care of that problem anyway.
