Help with 1.6 Healing Templar question

Hey guys. I recently came back to the game yesterday after sitting out a year, transferred my character to my ps4 so I could play with my more casual gaming friends. We wanted to make a Khajiit themed group/guild and I originally wanted to make a templar healer so they could enjoy dungeons without having to sit and wait to find healers, because I'm such a good friend. Well I recently read that because of 1.6 a Khajiit healer may be kinda nerfect as opposed to a High Elf due to the High Elfs passives.

My question is: how bad am I nerfing myself by making a Khajiit healing templar? I really want to do it, but don't want to be screwed when we all decide to go to cyrodiil together.

The standard answer you'll get will read something like:

1) Play as you want, it will NOT be ideal, but if you're a smart player you'll get through nearly everything.

2) At the end of the day, you will struggle with end-game content ... OR .... At the end of the day, you won't be able to compete in trial boards/PVP with the best, but you'll still be able to do end-game content.

I am a Khajit and I play a healer/dps...works just fine...now am I gonna pull 24k dps? probably not, but ill pull 20k...as for healing - absolutely ZERO issues...go Khajit if you want, its totaly fine

You'll be giving up 2-3k magicka, 4% more damage fire/frost/whatsit..storm? damaging abilities, and about...er. Somewhere around 100 magicka regen, give or take.

Given two absolute super pros, the breton healer will for sure do more hps than the khajit healer.

Apart from that, in most cases you can do more hps with a cat than with a breton by playing better. Also, the game is balanced in a way, that no racial choice will prevent you from beating content. You will be able to beat Veteran DSA and SO with a Cat Healer if you play well enough.

I do just fine on my Imperial Templar healer in PVP and he is not even vr 14 yet. My extremely unpopular advice would be not to be afraid to have Lingering Ritual on your bar. Yes it has a cast time and it's an area heal but if you're in an organized group and time it well then it's just a bad ass heal. Just me though, I use it and do fine.

All of my characters are khajiit, including a khajiit templar healer, a khajiit dragonknight tank, and a khajiit nightblade berserker.

They all work just fine. Racial bonuses wont make or break the game for you. The fact that khajiit are easily five times more awesome than any other race trumps all of those 'useful' passives anyways =P
