NB weapon loadout viablity

Hello! i have a question to the experienced NBs.

I am planing to do all my damage with a bow, and when melee is needed, i will use class skills such as ambush.

The only skill i would miss from dual wield is the steel tornado, but i plan to leave aoe with sap essence and spray. And ultimates.

This leaves me with 1 weapon slot. Instead of have 2 bows, i think that the best options is going 2-handed for the rally buff/heal and occasionally bawler for shield, but i do NOT plan to use 2handed for damage, just the 2 buffs...

is it smart? since i will not get the dual wield passives (crit) when swap to bow... and i will not hit with daggers, i have no point in use dual wield. At least 2hand give me heal and 20% dmg.

yes that can work. quite a few NB go with that setup. bow and 2h that is.

fyi, one of my favourie AOEs is scorched earth.

A certain 2 Handed skill is the only decent source of Self Heals a Stamina NB has. Also, some skills won't even activate if you don't have the underlying weapon equipped. So, not sure if you can use 2H Skills without a Greatsword equipped. For sure you can proc the effect, then switch bars, but you have to be closer than Bow Range to get the Shields to come up in the first place, so you might as well mow them down with the sword.

Also, I just recently went from DW to 2H on my VR12 NB. My 2H is L34 as I am still leveling it and I clean up groups of mobs far better than L50 DW does, and I survive with the Shield from Brawler (I think that is the one, but its the skill that gives a shield boost for each enemy hit)
