Something Random: Meteor Change suggestion.

Some random suggestion, after reading (and experiencing) the trouble people are having with the Meteor Ultimate.
The second the server has some sort of hiccup you will almost immediately notice the armageddon starting.
People spamming Meteor, causing further lagg, just for the fun of it?

So, i was thinking... what if they changed Meteor from an attack to a buff. Something that will benefit mages without being so lagg intensive.
My suggestion for the buff:

Base skill:
Increase Magicka regeneration by 300/350/400/450% for 15 seconds.

Morphs:
Increase Magicka regeneration by 300/350/400/450% for 15 seconds.
When slotted your Spell damage is increased by 7/8/9/10%
Make it a magic equivalent of Dawnbreaker.

And:
Increase Magicka regeneration by 500/550/600/650% for 15 seconds.
Increases magicka regeneration further.
Mending-The-Wounded, Aldmeri Dominion, Templar.

This is a major problem is pvp mainly? So the solution needs to be pvp based.....

As someone that spends the majority of their time in Cyrodiil I don't see the skill as an actual issue. What causes the lag is not only the ability to spam it - if already experiencing lag - but the graphics behind it. If the could somehow dull down the animation for it I believe the problem would be less critical.

I'm never one to call for a skill change that will negatively effect another aspect of the game due to one simple issue. Realistically the lag in PvP just needs to be addressed. ZoS has said in many cases that they are unsure on how to fix it. They either need to dedicate more devs to the issue or find more competent devs. An issue as game breaking as the lag in Cyrodiil should be fixed, or at least one would assume so.

As any business would spend vast amount of time fixing an issue that negatively effects their customs. At least businesses that care about their product. I can tell you from my experience - if I brew a poor beer for my consumers I take their feedback and spend hours upon hours crafting new brews that I hope will be to the majorities taste. I don't just ignore the problem, as that's a good way to lose consumers.

@mtwiggz the problem is, what would you do if your beer had an unpleasant aftertaste that tasted a bit like grapes (lag) and your customers kept insisting, if you used a fresher set of grapes (meteor animation) or removed the grapes from your recipe entirely, that the after taste would go away.

And you remind them, that at your brewery and in your recipe, there are no grapes, and that the bad aftertaste is completely unrelated. It's wine that has grapes and not typically beer (client side code and not server side). But they just keep insisting that grapes are to blame because the after taste somewhat resembles the flavor of grapes!

That's the problem with suggestions like this... They don't make a lick of sense if you have a general understanding of the problem, yet people keep suggesting them because there's a correlation between the two.

I totally agree with your other points though:
They should prioritize fixing the issue.
