NB magicka rogue style

I am thinking about creating a full 62 magicka NB, and use almost only class skills, like: Impale, Merciless Resolve, Concealed Weapon, sap essence etc...
And i would like to know a few things from whoever already tested/used:

1. Does any of those skills above do equal or more damage than a full stamina snipe, ambush or surprise attack?
2. i guess you understood that i want to be a rogue like character, stealthy, killing, stealing, etc... mostly solo. A build like that is good? Better or worse than a Ambush/snipe sta build?
3. if i am a magicka NB, i do not need to be a Bosmer/khajiit/redguard right? dunmer is a good choice?

    1. No, not even close. At least not on a 1x1 comparison. However the way a Magicka NB is played you can line up a bunch of abilities to hit close to the same time for tremendous burst.
    2. Magicka NBs are amazing and a lot of fun. They are not one trick ponies and require skill. More importantly it is almost mandatory you level up in Assault PvP line for Proximity Detonation. This is one of the bread and butter spells you will use as a Magicka based NB.
    3. Any race can work. You will obviously play to your races strengths. Dunmer are fantastic as are Breton and Altmer. I do not recommend bosmer or Khajit simply because you are mainly concerned with your sneak attack damage. Once you open from sneak, after the first hit, whats the point? You can't go wrong with Dunmer, Altmer, or Breton. However the other races Bosmer, Khajit, Imperial, Redguard, Orc, etc are great too if you plan on going Stamina.

If you do decide to play magicka, I highly recommend you have dual wield on your first bar (for more spell damage) and resto on second bar. You will want Healing Ward (resto), Efficient Purge (pvp line), and Proximity Detonation (pvp) and perhaps Clouding Swarm ultimate from Vampire.

    Thanks Xael!

    1. the tremendous brust you are talkng about, what skills exactly? can you exemplify how can i perform an assassination?

I never been in the endgame. Is there any skill (sta or mag) that can kill (or almost kill) a same lvl npc (a guard or player for instance) with 1 shot at later game? Or every skill, even the strongest ones, can only take less than a half enemy HP?

You see... i like the magicka idea, but i still want to be the assassin type... moreover with the upcoming dark brotherhood questline soon. I dont want to have to hit a thousand times a guard to kill him.

    1. Well for starters, let's say you are a Magicka NB. You are sneaking near a player and you do the following: While in Sneak cast Piercing Mark on target to debuff his Magic Resist, cast Merciless Resolve to buff your damage, cast Proximity Detonation (casts on yourself, go boom in 4 seconds), activate Mage Light (proc your Might of the Guild passive for 20% dmg on next attack), cast Teleport Strike on your target. When you land on your target use Concealed Weapon and at this point if you were quick enough your Proximity Detonation explodes at the same time you combo with Teleport and Concealed. If you are geared properly, you can do over 20k damage with this combination. Your Teleport Strike gets the bonus from Sneak, Merciless Resolve, and the 20% extra damage from Might of the Guild. This will likely hit a debuffed player (particularly one who isnt stacked with nirnhoned) for 10-12k (maybe more). Your Concealed Weapon will do anywhere from 4-8k alongside a Proximity Detonation for another big chunk of damage. Seeing that Concealed is fast and instant, you can always follow up with another if they don't die outright or use Swallow Soul or whatever you see fit. The combo itself is fast once you get used to it.

In endgame there are quite a few combinations that can insta kill people. I do not recommend you rely on this though. There are many variables that can make this go wrong or sideways. You are better off learning how to survive and kill your target without the fast insta kill. An example would be if you are pulled out of Sneak before you can open up with your combo. If you just rely on that combo I mentioned above, you would go into full panic mode and get destroyed. You can't rely on oneshot combos, particularly when people like to run around in groups, or the game is laggy, or you are laggy, or whatever reason.

Magicka or Stamina, you are a player killer, an assassin. You still have Dark Cloak and invis pots to be slippery when necessary.

Don't hold your breath on Dark Brotherhood. ZOS is trying to milk every dollar they can from players at the moment to support their console launch and the PC platform is buggy and very unfinished. We are a long ways off on DB, Spellcrafting, Imperial City, class balancing, etc.

Hell, I have been on an endless loading screen (bug thats existed since closed beta) ever since I began replying to this thread.
