The Bound Armor and Radiant Mage light buffs don't cancel each other?

If the Bound Armor increases your magicka by 5% and the Radiant Mage light decreases magicka by 5%, the net lost of magicka should be zero. Am I correct?

Before activating either of these skills my total magicka in PVE land is 18009 but after activating both Bound Armor and Mage light its 17886 a lost of 123 magicka. Am I missing something here.

Also the Radiant Mage light is supposed to raise my Spell Critical rating to 2099. What the hell does 2099 mean? Spell Critical is in percentage. Anyway it looks like my Spell Critical was raised exactly 10%, so I'm assuming that 2099 is 10% of my total spell critical. Why couldn't the Mage light just be based on a percentage.

Is there an addon that converts weapon and spell critical to whole numbers instead of percentages?

Radiant will only decrease your Magicka by 3% since you get 2% from the mages guild passive. Bound Armor increases Magicka by 8% when fully leveled up, so you should see a total gain of 5% magicka.

    Yes it's 10%.

Please don't use Radiant, it's not smart. Use Inner and carry detection pots.

With the exception of Spell Critical increase of 17% what other benefit does it have? Radiant has saved me several times from sneak attacks in the PVP. Couldn't I just use a Spell Critical potion to make up for the 17%?

The problem I see with detection pots is that they only last for a limited amount of time where as I can use a Spell Critical pot to either before or during combat.

But, I'd like to hear your view on this because I'm just a casual player and all suggestions are always welcome!

Detection potions are much better to use than Radiant Magelight because the other morph, Inner Light raises Magicka instead of decreases it. So Bound Aegis gives 8% while Inner Light gives a cumulative 7%, making for a raise of 15% Max Magicka. In addition to increasing your magicka pool, this will also increase the effects of your Magicka-based spells, so Hardened Ward will absorb more and Crystal Fragments will hit for more.

Edit: It turns out that the two abilities don't stack additively for 8% + 5% +2%, but they also don't stack manipulatively. At least not what I saw when I did my math and looked at my character sheet. So I have no idea HOW they stack, but I know that they DO.
