I take that as meaning that the server keeps track of hitpoints but the client keeps track of magicka/stamina?

I've never had that bug but I see desync everywhere. Ever moved out of a red circle and still gotten hit by the aoe? Ever gotten exp but seen the mob do its death animation a second or two after that?

I think that Zenimax sacrificed a huge amount of performance to let the server handle a lot of things that are better handled by the client, in an attempt to prevent hacking/cheating.

    But what do I know.

If it's to prevent cheating it's NOT "better handled by the client", because we all know how that would end!

I mean better handled in terms of performance. There is always a balance between performance and security, and I'm just not sure that ZOS struck the right balance with ESO.

Unless there were other design considerations that we are not privy to. Hard to say.

But other MMOs I've played did not have nearly this much client/server desync. Even back in 2001.
