Ulti stops generating for people now who havent had problems before. So smth with the apparent fix went wrong

Fixed an issue where it was possible to stop gaining Ultimate.

Nope, no clue, it just suddenly stops working for no apparent reason.

Even after relogging still cant generate ulti

Some of our players had the same issue both in AA and in SO. Happend suddenly and disappeared some time later.

It was happening to all of our healers in AA last night. I seemed to temporarily fix the problem when I would heavy attack with my staff, but then it would randomly stop working again. I didn't have any problems before the latest patch.

Why i not surprised? 2.0.8 - Ult bug fixed/ 2.0.8 - new source of ult bug appeared. 2.0.8 - Charge stuck fixed/ 2.0.8 - you can stuck without charge by unknown reason

Yup same. And even when im in combat and use an earthen abilty (DK) it normally produce ultimate but now nothing happend.

I had this same issue on my Templar in VDSA last night - Ulti would stay at 0% for long periods and every once in a while I would gain some ulti - rather game breaking for our VDSA run last night.

I had not had any ulti generation issues prior to this latest patch.

It seems only Templars got the ulti bug?

@Jeckll was it only your healers that got the bug or also other classes?

I don't know if it's the same, but I realized that I'm not getting the buff from healing allies who have the buff from attacking a target.

I'm getting the bug as well, I'm a NB. I was infact experiencing the bug in the group dungeon in Stonefalls.

I experienced the bug yesterday in VDSA... Usually I rely on healing my team and consequently regenerate utli with that, but it was bugged and I did not receive any ultimate.

I had a bug with ulti generation on my templar healer in vet coa. I could still get ulti by blocking / dodging / attacking but healing didn't work. (And yes, the people I healed generated ultimate, so that was not the problem).

@Alcast it first happend to our healers. Might be something with healing as I think it could have happend to me after I used Sap Essence.

I can confirm this happening as well. We were in AA yesterday and one (1) Templar, one (1) Sorc and two (2) NBs all were not able to gain ultimate for a little while before correcting itself....it seemed to be occurring at random times.

@ZOS_GinaBruno have you guys looked into this one?

Maybe it is caused if huge amounts of healings are done. Same thing that caused the health bars to desync from healing ulti.

I'll clarify that while a playing my Templar I was having this ulti gen issue while both attacking and healing - ulti gen was shut down altogether - whether healing others or directly attacking/using offensive skills that normally generate ulti on activation.

It also seemed to randomly start/stop. When I started to gen ulti - it generated normally. When it stopped I could sit at 0% for a couple of minutes before randomly starting to gen again.

Ok, we were able to figure out what's happening and plan on having it fixed (for real!) in our next incremental patch. Just for your knowledge, this is only affecting heals generating Ultimate.

That's good news! thanks.....just to clarify do you mean the fix is only for the heals generating ulti? or that the bug is only for heals generating ulti?

I have a Sorc and a NB that complained of this last night as well, that's why I ask. I can get back to troubleshoot with them too to see if it's something else if indeed it's only heals.

Cool, Im happy they were able to find the problem. Why not just hot patch it? This is a big deal IMO ultimates in trials are normally coordinated and depended on.

thanks for clarifying. I had 2 dps say they couldn't gain ult last night, but I will troubleshoot with them.

Thanks for the update Gina. I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong last night when I was healing in Cyrodiil and getting up my Ultimates slower than I had remembered.

This problem was not just generating ulti through heals from my experience. I was unable to generate ulti when casting reflective light - which should generate 2 ulti per use every 4 or seconds through the passive in the Dawn's Wrath tree.

Unless healing is shutting down ulti generation - the problem seems broader than generating ulti from healing - as my Templar generates ~75% of their ulti through offensive skill use.

I was going to say more but you already know the source of the problem.

I got the Ulti bug in Cyrodiil, and yes, I saw that doing light/heavy attacks was giving ulti, but not heals on other people that were actively fighting.

Waiting for the fix.
