    Yeah, the Alliance War section is the forum's Cyrodiil campaign. :D

    Depends on how they did it. As usual the wording is vague. Activating ANY magicka spell should have a % chance of procing an insta-cast crystal shard. An insta cast crystal shard counts as a magicka spell so crystal shards could and should, proc itself.

    When this happens you get another insta cast crystal shard with the damage increase. If they actually added extra code to prevent this from ever happening, then the tooltip now lies and now the proc rate has been lowered, so yes, this is a significant nerf.

    HOWEVER,

    If there was a bug where when this happens, you somehow get two damage buffs on the next frag, then its a fix, not a nerf. Probably the "easy way" to stop this from happening was to slighly nerf the skill, so its probably a classic Zenimax Fix-nerf aka Ferf. (or Fixerf?)

    I'm just concerned with any potential side effects that will lower the proc rate and unintentionally break the skill for the next few weeks.
