Reflective Scale is bugged/broke.. I think?

First off I'm ur typical sniper NB 1-3 shotting people from stealth( I know most of the game hates me and I'm ok with that) but I've noticed what I think is a bug/glitch I'm actually not sure, so here's how it goes.

I'm in stealth I see a DK, for whatever reason ( Maybe he sensed me?) he will put up wings, me being a sniper noob opens on him any way, with Focus Aim>Heavy>Silver Shards in a way that they all land at the same time( This kills 99% of the game population btw).. and guess what? All of it goes thru his scales and kills him, this happens often enough that I felt bad enough for DKs to make this post. If this is intended then it's pretty cruel to DKs.. if it's a bug which I hope it is it's probably causing a lot of ur DKs to rage.

A side note, when I was running the 'Destro heavy attack from stealth' build, I noticed that attack would ignore scales as well.

Again if this is all intended maybe for stealth to ignore certain mechanics then just delete the post & label me a noob( You prob already did anyway).

Have been having junk go through my wings, including meteors etc. Could be lag.

on my stamina DK in BWB, i have the same experiences. sometimes I will have scales up, yet ranged attacks still go thru them

I have an add on that tells me how many times my shield reflects. Sometimes its all in a split second and i must recast immediately. Marking a target negates scales I think unless they purge.

Yeah,

Broken.....doesn't reflect many incoming projectiles, and quite a few are just "absorbed" instead of reflected on the few it does seem to recognize. Given the short duration nerf, just one less ability to slot.

Scales users needed the animations to be synchronized as well- So lag and animations being off really makes them a struggle to try and use in cyro.

They screwed up a lot of DK abilities, and on a side note Im not impressed that Wrecking blow goes through my shield blocking either... or the fact that mobs are already running backwards before they get to me when I chain them in... or that mobs run backwards when I talon them... or that if a mob is hit with any spell my chains throw me half way across the map because the mob was already "cc'ed"... or... eh Ill just let the rest of the dk's elaborate on the problems Im just tired of being damn near worthless as a dk tank anymore.

Any one else agree that they need to undo the reflect 4 projectiles thing and make it last longer. 4 seconds isn't much time for the skill to do anything well.

when youre being focused (and thats what DKs do, we get focused) 4 reflected projectiles is next to nothing.

A longer duration would be nice, but I don't think it'll happen.

This bug is uncommon but definitely there. Happened to me at least twice while playing today - I used reflective scales and let go of block thinking I have a couple seconds to shoot some arrows, and almost immediately (and by immediately I mean less than a second) get taken down. Recap showing only projectiles killing me.

RS doesn't reflect shots from stealth if you are not "in combat", at least not last time I tested (1.5). Once the first shot hits it should work but the stealth stun may be bugging it or it may be wearing off while your shots are still in flight.

This is what I found in 1.5 too, but haven't specifically tested this in 2.0. Somewhat related, I found early on in the 1.6 PTS that scales did not reflect the first attack for any given scales cast, but still counted it toward that four projectile total. Tested that with light attacks, crushing shock, and crystal frags.

Yesterdays i popped scales and died in seconds, 4 snipes in death recap but FTC log showing 0 outgoing damage from any projectiles. To bad this isnt a NB related issue, it would probably have been fixed already then.

Noticing this too. Wings are casted and up, and I still take some ranged hits. I'm an experienced player, so it is not that 4 projectiles just took my wings down, or something like that. Projectiles are going THROUGH the wings. I've noticed this on many occasions.

Seems fine as is. Just FIX this bug!@!!@!!

I'm wondering if this has something to do with some of these desynched archers I see. Most of you know the types. The ones that instantly kill, with no chance to react or anything. I've been hit by 2 lethal arrows, light attack, venom arrow, all instantly.

No sound effects, no chance or a cc break, no combat music. Just instant death.
Spare me the L2P. It's not that. It is some kind of lag/desynchronization issue, or exploit/cheat.

I get hit by shooting star through reflect 50% of the time. At least there is no bug that nannies you take 50k fall damage after getting hit by it... oh

Stealth attacks go through wings. A projectile can only be reflected twice so the person may be ping ponging their own projectile back at you. Otherwise, sounds like a bug.

Yep, something is weird about the scales mechanics right now. The archers I know fire at will upon dks because the likelyhood of getting a snipe reflected is pretty low for whatever reason.

I concur, I've had loads of projectiles go through my wings. Sometimes it's dk's rereflecting, and I notice my error, but a lot of the times it's not from re-reflected projectiles. Needs a fix asap !
