Game freezing/lockup

Yeah CS can't help me anymore it seems. I have reinstalled several times, installed on another system, used a different ISP and I still get the crashes. It happens if I ride a mount or open my journal and achievements. I've pretty much stopped played for the past three weeks over it. I can't look at my quests, can't view my boss kills in dungeons to ensure I get them all and I have to walk every where I go. That pretty much kicked me out of my PVP play because you need a mount. I can't group with anyone because it isn't fair to hold up the group while I crash and log back in.

Been a while since last crash. Had hoped it was over - guess I was wrong - big time.
This crash came at the worst possible time. I was right in the middle of battle with 3 Imperials in Hallin's Stand, Bangkorai.
Then without warning the game just froze up as before. I wonder if I won?

It's still happening regularly for me - most often in Mournhold (the gate between the shrine and the bank), but can happen any time I'm sprinting, whether mounted or on foot. Video freezes, but I can still hear audio. If I alt-tab out, I get a black screen and then can't do anything but reboot. If I try to pull up task manager, I can't see it because of the black screen. If I try to close out the game via the task bar, nothing happens. I'm running Windows 8.1 and I've got a beast of a computer with a 970, so my rig can definitely handle the game. I never had this problem until the TU update went live.

I just froze in Mournhold too... I thought you guys have that one covered. Do you even know why it does happen?

I haven't filed a ticket, since the whole client crashed.

And I am glad I am not the only one...

Good to know I'm not alone with this, too.
After the today's patch the game crashes or freezes after every 10-15 minutes. Even when the performance was normal/average. It's never perfect on my end, but that's not the issue.
I spend more time in signing in and waiting for the character select screen AND loading into the game than acutally playing it.

Can we get some feedback other than the typical troubleshoot rhetoric?

I get that releasing a new mount for over 2k crowns is important but I would think the stability of your game would be top priority.

I have decided every time I freeze I will bump this thread until we get some feedback.

This thread is almost 2 months old and nobody from ZOS has shown up to say anything. I am assuming you are reading this but unwilling to say anything because you know the problem already and have no way of fixing it.

As @Rylana has pointed out in other threads, this is likely due to ESO being a 32 bit game exceeding 32 bit tolerances. This is something your client has struggled with for 2 years now (even beta was like this).

I see the crown store constantly gets updates, if we buy enough stuff will you take our money and hire a programmer to fix your game?

I can't either. Today it's the same like yesterday after the patch was installed, it crashes after 10-15 minutes. EVERY SINGLE TIME, with every character in any location, for no reason at all.
It's completely unplayable now!

Same here, since the June 29 update I am lucky if I can get five minutes of actual game play in at a time. Doesn't matter the character the zone or what I am doing. Even standing alone not moving it will freeze. Others in my guild on teamspeak are saying they have been unable to even log in so I guess I'm lucky I can play for five minutes then shut down wait for several minutes of loading screens then get another five minutes. I have new armor I am trying to wear. Maybe by the weekend I'll have it on and can venture a very tiny little way out into the world and get killed by something as I try to get back in the game.

Sorry I just had to laugh out loud while reading this part of your post lol .. I does read funny first, but.. the sad part is that it is true. It seems we cannot even do one thing without a crash, not even looking up the inventory or just standing there doing nothing.
A few hours ago (not even), I tried to do 3 of the writs in Craglorn, I had to login THREE times for this to finish it. Not to mention actually doing quests and such, no way.
Unfortunately, until it's not fixed, I won't be able to play anymore.

I really, REALLY hope this will get fixed ASAP!

What I forgot to mention in my previous posts is, the game also tends to crash now when the character select screen shows up. On my end, this happens when I logout one character to select another (if I even get to the select screen without the game crashing before already, that is).

Not sure what exactly the engine is doing there, but obviously something seriously wrong.

Client freezes have been an issue since 2.0.5 - nVidia or AMD - Windows 7, 8 or 10 or 3.1 - same thing. It's probably our add-ons or flying insects that haven't been removed from those areas yet.

Yes I have been having this prob since, well, game launch. And they removed the crash reporter long ago (many months ago) in some update, so they don't even (want to) know about it. I believe there is no point in complaining about it, since we did many months and they don't seem to care enough to do anything about it. We (my wife and I, we both have high-end gaming computers) gave up on complaining about it A YEAR ago. The freeze happens to her as well, just about as frequent, and she has a different build, but with the same graphics cards. It only freezes up about twice a day for each of us, on the average. If it happened only after many minutes/hours of gaming I would suspect an overheating prob, but no, sometimes even happens just after starting my computer and playing for only a minute, and other times I play for many hours on days when the room is very hot and it doesn't lock up/crash. So I have to assume it is definitely a game code problem. My system specs:

Satellite Internet (Wildblue) 400KB/sec (KBytes) measured download speed, 3Mbps (Mbits). Officially, upload speed is 1/4 download speed, but actual tests show around 30Kbps (or less). Ping times are around 1000ms to anywhere, 800-900 if lucky. It takes time for the radio signals to get to/from the Satellite (at the speed of light). Could be latency issues, lots of latency in Satellite Internet.

Still no response from ZOS in this 2 month old thread. I reckon releasing a 3k crown store mount must be top priority. Pathetic.

Well, another day, another freeze. This time in Northpoint, Rivenspire. Again not doing anything - just trying to get from A to B on foot this time.

Any word from Devs on this???

This happened to me twice this morning in the space of approximately 30 mins. Not sure if this is related to the latest patch or not. Game freezes were never a problem for me in the past.
