Best Crafted Gear for PvE Tank

I'm currently working on my Imperial DK tank, who's about to hit VR7, and VR7 means I'll be crafting a new set of gear.

So I was wondering, what crafted sets do you guys think are best for tanking? I've been running with a combination of Orgnum's Scales and Shalidor's Curse, because it seemed like the most foolproof way to keep me alive, but frankly I like the 5-piece bonus that Song of Lamae gives (when health drops below 30% deals magic damage to the attacker and recover health), and Hist Bark seems good too.

If it makes a difference, I'll be running 5 heavy, 2 light, and while I currently do sword & board on one bar and resto staff on the other, I'm considering switching to S&B on both bars.

Oh, and I'm not looking for advice on what dropped sets are good, because I'm still leveling this guy. Once I hit VR14 I'll worry about getting those :)

    ^ that guy didn't listen.

Histbark is the standard go-to for tanks all the set bonuses are good, you get hp, armor, and 20% dodge chance which is amazing. Dodging with the 5pcs set bonus means you aren't taking damage which means your healer will love you and not being hit means not burning stamina.

Willows path is good if you are struggling with resource regeneration in general, seducer is really good for a heavy magicka tank ( you can actually spam magic dps abilities with seducer)

It comes down to what you are struggling with and what kind if a tank you want to be.

Heavy Skoria ; Yokeda Rings and Neck ; Embershield ; 2X Whatever = DPS TANK
Heavy Seducer ; Footman ; Scourge Harvester = PVP TANK

Hmm, good point on the dodge chance with Hist Bark. Really the only reason I haven't gone with Hist Bark before is because I've always felt like my armour is high enough that I don't really need more, so I've been looking at sets that buff other things. The dodging probably more than makes up for anything I could gain by having a bonus to health instead of armour, though, and it's not like the bonus to armour would be wasted anyway. It'd still be useful.

And to be honest, I'm not really struggling with anything per se (between the occasional tri-pot and regaining resources from popping an ultimate, along with things like Green Dragon Blood I'm usually fine with managing my resources), it's just that I'm trying to become more efficient at tanking :)

Hist Bark is okay, but at end-game there are better options, especially if you are a NB because Mirage is way better (dodge chance effects do not stack). I would even argue that the medium armor ability is better than Hist Bark, since it allows you to dodge while not blocking (ie while using abilities/sprinting/rezzing). I would lean more towards sets that offer utility or 'oh ***' insurance, such as Whitestrake, Shalidor's Curse, or maybe Twilight's Embrace if you wanna stack healing received.
