If any VR14 is being 3 shot by a level 30 bow user, he deserves it. Period.

If you think bow is strong now.. well, I've got bad news for you. If you think bow is OP now, then you would have been a broken man earlier on.

1. Bow was stronger when the heal debuff on snipe was broken, snipe was broken and OP as hell.
2. Bow was stronger when the timing on snipe was +3 seconds, so you could let fly with snipe, and land 3 attacks at once.
3. Bow was stronger when out of stealth, plus piercing mark, it hit like a mack truck.
4. Bow with piercing mark> camo hunter>flawless dawnbreaker> snipe = one shot death when PvP was Vamp-o-rama

I know this as I've stuck with bow since early beta, and had many lol's and hate tell's because of it. (especially during the heal debuff days hehehe)

Bow isn't anywhere near what it was, and bow users now 'usually' have it as an off hand weapon for support. Bombard is great for a CC/snare. Venom is just okay as an interrupt on casters, Magnum is good as a knock back, using terrain to your advantage for fall damage in PvP where useful. (knocking off keep walls etc) Heavy bow attacks have always hit reasonable hard, but snipe spammers aren't lollíng like they used to. If anything they are annoying at best.

The level 30 player that is 3 shotting VR14's, that's interesting on both sides. It would be quite rare for a level 30 character to have a level 42 skill like snipe, not impossible though. And, If they have, it means they have leveled bow like crazy for the very purpose of LOL sniping and probably built around it. Even then, snipe isn't that stronk, and it's more of a L2P issue for the VR14 that died than anything else. In PvP, a VR14 with LOW health would be 18K HP, which means a three shot would eqquate to 3 x 6K each.... from a level 30. Yeah, nah.

So many counters to bow, and usually bow users are squishy, glass cannon types. Nope, sorry. If you are a VR14 and died from bow, you deserve it.

how is a Vr14 getting killed in 3 shots by a level 30? does said VR14 have a low armor rating? was he or she hit by piercing mark or some other ability inflicting major fracture?

this is not WoW, where max level players one shot low level players.. In PVP, non-vets are scaled up big time. 90% of the time, a non-vet wont be killing a VR14, but it CAN happen.

if you are getting killed by snipe, here is how to fight it:

interrupt it

dodge roll

damage shields

reflective scales

just keep healing thru it

as well as other counters I am sure i forgot to list

My PvP Wood Elf is level 26 with bow at 40 so that is certainly possible.

I'm sure i have pissed off a few VRs as they constantly seem to underestimate a half naked tiny level 26 wood elf girl ...

Look, bow's as they are now are actually pretty weak, and you really, REALLY have to work to make them good, on both PvE and PvP, so whoever killed you must've matched some truly magical stars himself, lining them up perfectly for him to actually kill you as easily as you're making it out to be.

Personally I think he just caught you by surprise and you just happened to have been wearing all light armor, which is basically just magical clothing, and as others have said, lower ranked characters get buffed big time to be able to fight evenly with everyone else, so technically you fought a near equal.

Yeah, that's why I said they would be rare but possible. All you'd need to do is go full bow skills, and have increased experience traits on your bow and start leveling up for a full bowtastic build.

I was thinking of doing this for Blackwater Blade, an NB with piercing mark, dark cloak and snipe. Probably grab some invis potions for extra lols.

Umm... Lol... Snipe spammers now can kill somebody only while their target is in fight with someone else, its funny to see how they are trying to pierce through block or dodge roll. No more nerfs for anyone. Yesterday i was ambushed by sorc crushing shock + frags spammer, i wasnt careful and got knocked from a horse but still ive survived and killed him. If ure killed its not fault of your killer but yours. You decide will you retreat, willg you push forward, will you attack or block. Each tactic has its counter.

agree with the above comments + in PVE the bow is slowly getting there but still a bit lacking in dps compared to some other builds... nerfing it would completely remove bow dps builds from standing a chance

Nice joke, bow has a "good dps" at pvp (only firts shot) the rest can be easily dodge.

What I say since last year. The "more power" people ask in game, the more Cyrodiil is becoming a frag fest. By me they should tone down everything, with hard caps on damage, global cool downs (to stop attack cancellation err "weaving").

Early after release last year I was enjoying battles in 1 vs 1 lasting few minutes against worthy opponents. Now even my not so well equipped Khajiit Magicka Templar, can maw quickly anyone who isn't too careful. And I am not the "best" player around, just average.

Is ridiculous to have simple spells like Fragments hitting time after time for 9000+ damage. When even the most tanky character has around 25K HP. Especially when some are claiming "18K DPS" any HP pool is completely non existant.

That leads the game to be a fragfest so stop complaining about few abilities and demand for ZoS to either buff HP in Cyrodiil (by 10x) or nerf damage output across the board by 90%.

(Fragments as an example since is the most common ability around there).

Just get rid of the stealth bonus, stun and camo hunter proccing on humans.

16K lethal arrow + 8K camo hunter from some dude sitting in the shadows invisible 40 meters away is just ***. Plus he is a nightblade so he gets a free stun which you can't break free from before the next lethal arrow has already hit.

If it makes you mad that your opponents can fight back, maybe pvp isn't actually for you.

And yes, I use bow on my NB, but I'd honestly be ashamed of myself if I used snipe haha.

Edit: not saying it's OP or anything (well, the camo hunter and snipe from stealth IS, but that's mostly because it's bugged and TTK is 3s at best in this game nowadays) but sitting in a corner sniping people is the ESO equivalent of walking away from a "disagreement" and shouting insults from 200 meters away then running off.

Bow damage nerfed twice already and we still see the rivers of cloth user tears.

Don't make yourself a target and don't make yourself vulnerable to ambush, you will die... the weapon used makes no difference.

LOL, just lol, any vr14 that can be killed by level 30s deserves it IMO.

Why stop at nerfing bow, nerf everything that kills you, oh I died, w/e killed me must be nerfed.....

How do you know he was level 30? When you died did it say his name and RANK 30? If so that means he is ALLIANCE RANK 30. That means he is very high alliance rank and generally has big bonuses from gold legendary gear and its most likely V14 and a high champion ranks with alot of champion points bonuses.
