a necromancer staff?

Though I would prefer that existing skill-lines get expanded upon first.
Dual Wield has no gap closer. Eh, I guess that's about it, otherwise fine for the most part. Oh, right. The 15% bonus damage to stunned/immobilized/etc enemies is almost worthless in PvP because of all the CC breaking and rolling, that could use a rework.
Two-Handers don't have any viable AoE for PvP (cleave is easily dodged by multiple people), nor do they have a spammable attack aside from wrecking blow, which is easy to counter against competent players. Also, a crit-boosting weapon type for Two-Handers would be nice. Dual Wield gets Daggers, perhaps Two-Handers can get, as much as I hate to say it, Katanas as a crit choice (or something much less edgy if anyone has any ideas).
One Hand and Shield is basically purely defensive. Not saying it should be equivalent in damage to the other two weapon trees, but come on. It feels like you aren't even wielding a weapon, and I absolutely despise the concept of dual wielding being so far superior from an immersion standpoint. And you don't even get any weapon-specific bonuses either. Perhaps this could be solved with a One-Hand only tree though.
A few ideas for new trees:
Staves for the various missing schools of magic (Alteration, Illusion, Conjuration, etc).
Duelist. Basically just a single weapon in one hand, focused on more tactical DPS, like getting bonuses for attacking after blocking, timing blocks and dodges right, so on. Look at some of the champion passives for inspiration (example, Opportunist and Retaliation). Could be very good at damage and defense in skilled hands.
Spellswording. Weapon in one hand, spell in the other. Ability damage in this tree would have a different scaling equation than other trees (i.e. a bigger weapon damage modifer and a smaller resource modifier). Wouldn't be quite as effective at dealing damage or tanking as other weapon types, but would excel at resource management and give hybrid builds some reason to exist. I'll admit this is basically a quick afterthought but would like to see the concept examined.a necromancer staff?
Sorry, no.
You spend the entire storyline fighting Necromancers and trying to stop them from conquering the world, and now you want to become one? Talk about immersion breaking. Gameplay wise, we already have a Pet-Summoning Class.

Spears/Polearms, sure. Also an Unarmed line. Not really sure what other options would be available though.

They were in as early as Battlespire - Get dunked.
Oblivion and Skyrim really dumbed down the game after Morrowind.
There is acruelly more missing in the chance from daggerfall to morrowind then morrowind to oblivion. Actually, oblivion added a lot of thing that were in the games before morrowind
Ok, I stand corrected. I never played anything prior to Morrowind, so I can't speak about those games. Don't recall seeing any in Morrowind, though, and I did put a fair amount of hours in it. Weird... I do remember the throwing stars though! Those would be a neat addition to ESO.shadowmage016b14_ESO wrote: »No crossbows. They didn't even appear in the ES universe until Skyrim.

These Pets are crap. Better Players laugh about Players summoning them. I tryed it now for some time. In Random Trials with a Sorcerer using Pets it is always "Funny Amusement" in Teamspeak. You are treaten like an idiot. I got insulted using them: "Something like this is a Former Emperor. It is a shame." - For using a game mechanic. This is the real shame.golfer.dub17_ESO wrote: »You spend the entire storyline fighting Necromancers and trying to stop them from conquering the world, and now you want to become one? Or, as I would put it, Morrowind removed a lot of the fluff that weighed Daggerfall down.shadowmage016b14_ESO wrote: »No crossbows. They didn't even appear in the ES universe until Skyrim.

Morrowind REALLY dumbed down the game from daggerfall too.
Couldn't agree more. The specific reason I've built my Nightblade around Teleport Strike, Concealed Weapon, and Impale is because it's the closest thing I can get to an "unarmed monk" style build.fromtesonlineb16_ESO wrote: »I was appalled to find ESO is supposedly a TES game yet has no hand-to-hand skill. something that my Khajiit in TES games usually use as it's obviously a natural choice for a cat.
for example a sword and magic like in skyrim or a necromancer staff?
I feel like this would be awesome but was wondering how many other comunity members would be for or against it.
