Are DKs viable healers? On paper it looks like it could work but is there anyone out three who plays one?

Yes they are, just not quite as good as Templar and NB, but not far behind either. It comes down to more of skill than Class. I've seen some absolutely terrible Templar Healers and some amazing Sorc, DK, and NB Healers. I myself have a VR14 NB Healer (also MS Tank) and a nearly Vet now DK Healer. I can say I seriously miss not having Funnel Health on my DK while Healing and not having Igneous Shield on my NB while Healing. They're just different types of Healers.

Yes, DK healing is very strong in good hands.

I heal as templar and as dk, both v14. They are different in how they play, and have strength in different areas. Dk has amazing hot potency, shields and self buffs that can be used on the go, but she has to be very good at positioning herself and have awareness of where everyone else is. Templar on the contrary can save people eyes closed, but many of their self boosts are static rings on the ground, so they loose some efficiency in moving fights.

I think with 1.6 its templar dk nb sorc in that order.

I think I will get rid of mutagen and get rapid or combat prayer. Mutagen only instant heals if the target is already below 20% when casting it.

Atm I like playing with resto/destro. Support skills on the destro staff and some helpful dps skills. I got a single dps heal bar saved with an addon and a aoe dps heal for destro. I will test more when I can finally play again im bugged atm and cant llay eso.

Ignious shield with bone surge is 38% more healing. I only use bone surge when I know we dont need to be spreaded that much. I got cp in the dmg absorb shield. Healing and magicka regen. I like the aoe from talons and it let the trash do 15% less dmg. But for single target bosses for example I use the skills on destro that gives back mana and do more ele dmg forgot the name. I also got 30 hp atributes and 22 magicka atm. I love energy orbs it hot everyone in range. And when synerg it gives back magicka and instabt heals and when they got undaunted passives it also gives hp/magicka/stamina back. I got 7/7 light armor.

I have a DK healer, and although it's not as easy for her as it is for my Templar, she manages to keep everybody alive, so I would say they are completely viable

I think DK Healers are amazing for their group support buffs. The only thing Templars have going for them is a good ranged burst heal atm
