An ESO Companion App?

I've seen suggestion for an official app a while back now, but I'm wondering if it now actually has a chance of becoming a reality now that ESO is heading to console. I've been playing ESO since first beta and initial launch and think that something comparable to the Destiny Companion app would be useful. Being able to see the build of your character(s), Having quick access to your journal to see what skyshards, lore books and achievements you still need, and an interface for announcements and forums would be really handy outside of the game. What's everyone else's thoughts? Think it could happen?

Technically it is possible to make an add-on to store all this information in saved variables and it is possible to make an external app to make sense of this stored data. But the question is still there - is it really needed?

Yes! I would love this and would gladly pay money for an official Android app that lets me do some or most or ALL of the following things:-

1. Chat in my guilds and to my contact list.
2. Check my in-game mailbox and reply/delete
3. Check my guild vendor listings and browse guild listings and make purchases (guild you belong to naturally)
4. Check Character builds/inventories/progression
5. Assign Champion Points
6. Dye armour and preview the results
7. Character generation (??) - Not sure this and armour would work due to engine limitations
8. Guild Menu - MotD, About, Roster, Add Member, Leave Guild, Join Guild, Check History, etc

I'm a console gamer and I've been playing it for a few days now and I think we really do need something like this other games on xbox one have apps like this and it's very useful for the games.

When I played BF4, I used the companion app(Battlelog) quite a bit to check stats and do weapon swaps, etc. I think it would be brilliant and see no reason for ZOS to not do it. Even if it's just a useless stat tool, keeps me thinking...
