The double diminishing returns of block expertise from the CP system.

Without Block Expertise from CP.
Base Block Cost = 2160
With Sword and Board = 1512
Sword and Board + Defensive Posture = 1340
Sword and Board + Defensive Posture + Block Reduction glyph (156 white) = 1238

With 1point in Block Expertise for a 1% reduction.
Base Block Cost = 2138
With Sword and Board = 1497
Sword and Board + Defensive Posture = 1326
Sword and Board + Defensive Posture + Block Reduction glyph (156 white) = 1224

Stamina saved while blocking with 1 CP.
Base Block Cost = 22
With Sword and Board = 15
Sword and Board + Defensive Posture = 14
Sword and Board + Defensive Posture + Block Reduction glyph (156 white) = 14

The more points you put in block expertise the less you will get out of it and the more you try to reduce your block the less you will get out of it. Unfortunately I forgot to test out 5 pieces of heavy armor and i'm not paying 3k to retest. With just the s/b reduction the stamina saved went from 22 to 15 so I imagine heavy armor will have an equally terrible effect on Block Expertise.

TL/DR Block expertise is better if you are not wearying heavy or sword and board. If you are wearing both I would pick a different CP node because I think it's broken.

Also worth nothing is that a 156 glyph only reduced the cost by 102. (1326-1224)

Forgive me if I'm missing something here but...

The first point is the money point in the champion point system: a full one percent. Then it gets a mite logarithmic from there.

I see that you're getting that one percent from the first point. But I don't see figures for multiple champion points....

What I'm missing is the diminishing part.

Each time you put a point in block expertise the amount you get out of it diminishes, after 1% you will get less than 1% and so on.

Each time you reduce your block cost outside of block expertise you reduce the value of block expertise as well. Stamina saved by block expertise goes from 22 to 15 just by putting on a sword and board.

If your block cost is already being reduced by something else, of course a percentage reduction will not save you as much. Your total block cost is still lower with both passives.

I understand why it is happening, I just don't think it should be happening. I never added heavy armor to my test so it could very well be 10 stamina for the first point and increasingly less for every point after that. It's not sufficient just that it does something, it needs to be worth the point.
