There's only one thing I need to ask myself at this point. Do I want to level my NB or my Sorc with intention to gank for this exact thing?

I also suppose it can go both ways, keeping backup in stealth nearby.
To be fair, it they're really wanting to go this route, the chest should be available to whomever remains, yes?

We were wiping this group of like way more than our two last night at Dolmens. Stealing the chests at the last boss and had really good PvP going. The group would always come back or go to the next Dolmen. We would intercept, or find them somewhere near the Dolmens again and have full on war. It was amazing. Best PvP I've had in awhile. I don't see anything wrong with someone using this strat that you're mad about. It's Cyrodiil, it's PvP. Come on.
@Ezareth , indeed. It's one of their more brilliant additions, I'd say and the reward is a nice one. Someone was fairly clever with this one, trying to kill 2, maybe 3 birds with one stone.I had a couple of people jump me while I was mid-dolmen fight yesterday. I was of course hoping and expecting that since I was in Cyrodiil someone would try to do just that. After dispatching them both and the daedra who were attacking as well I finished the dolmen and got my first Coldharbor stone treb.
My initial reaction to all of this is pretty positive. PvP in Delves is amazing, PvP at dolmens is awesome. These additions are adding to the small group combat that we've all been waiting for. I haven't actively taken part of a siege while solo in some time and I'm loving it.
Already said it could work both ways. Perhaps you should read the entire thread.Maybe you need to have some scouting your flanks eh? Quit asking for someone to hold your hand.

I would like to be able to aggro NPC/monsters and kite them past my assailant (CC'd preferably) and have them switch focus.
I got my first taste of this when a big yellow ball dropped on my reward chest followed by a circle of red that wouldn't be there post daedra clear...
I rolled out of the NKR (Not Quite Right) and proceeded to do the same as you. I wasn't surprised at the engagement. I was surprised that they had waited as long as they did.
Yeah, that's pretty awesome. I think there are still some people out there that don't realize the pins do that.Yeah I actually used an anchor point to fully restore my resources mid fight against those two people which adds a whole new level of PvP strategy to Dolmen fights. It was a pretty fun fight.

You would think the group would have kept an eye open for you after the 2nd time.
Every dolmen I do, I am always looking around for gankers.

@xaraan, tactically, I get it. And your version makes more sense when it would be about fighting for the gear. Not really griefing to stop enemy players from possibly getting great equipment, it's actually what should be done. But I agree it's a little *** to wait until after you kill the boss to do it, it would at least be smarter to try and jump in during the boss fight so they have a chance at getting their own chest. Of course, I also don't see it as a negative for ZoS to encourage smaller scale fights around the map as a solution to zerg lag.

In this particular instance, it's more about the (enemy's choice in) timing, I guess.
"All is fair in love and war." I get it. All good.
I'll do you one better, let them have the gear, but tag it, and let us track them down and get it backMerlin13KAGL wrote: »This.golfer.dub17_ESO wrote: »Not griefing, still a *** move.@xaraan, tactically, I get it. Yeah, probably just my expectation. They are there to kill me, who cares if they grief me in the process. Would be nice if the loot stayed around a bit and you had a chance to sneak back and get the chest after respawning though.

I'll give ZoS creativity credit for trying to get people to have at the anchors (translated to: Please go anywhere else but combat situations.), it does seem to lead to the latest form of griefing, however.
Apparently the thing now is to wait until someone's cleared the anchor but not yet opened the chest.
A little honor even in war would go a long way here - perhaps the other party doesn't even realize they're doing it (they don't see the chest.)
A 5-10 second no-combat timer or an insta-award (opening the chest is just an extra step at this point) would remedy this.
At least make the chest visible to the other party, so they have the option of waiting to engage.
I take no issue with combat, and will happily engage anyone that wishes, but if the timing is intentional, it's right up there with camping quest hubs.
@dylanjaygrobbelaarb16_ESO, ganking is another subject entirely.dylanjaygrobbelaarb16_ESO wrote: »ganking people people pve'ing a chest is not griefing.... its pvp
