NPCs can still move after being Rooted

Some NPCs like to ignore the fact that you have rooted them and will still move around while the root is on them. It is mostly the move where enemies walk backwards a few meters in order to make distance and throw something at you or use another ranged attack. For example, I cast talons on an enemy, and the talons come out of the ground and grab them, yet they still walk backwards and the talons slide along the ground with them for a few meters. This happens all the time and is pretty ridiculous.

I agree, its getting silly how many times this is happening.

Yeah I find this very annoying as well. I try to use restraining prison to keep mobs in my lightning splash, but they don't care :(

Yep, drives me nuts. NPC's seem to be able to move freely when rooted provided that the movement is part of the skill they are using. Pretty broke and pretty embarrassing given that we are at more than a year after launch. Don't bother using CC's in PVE becase not only are they broke like this on weak mobs but things that are strong enough to be a threat cannot be CC'd anyway. CC's are a PVP thing and they are really the whole point in PVP. I can't remember the last time I died in PVP when I was not out of stamina and CC'd. No good player would.
I am mostly pleased with the current state of ESO. Please do continue to ban cheaters though and you guys have to find out who is duping gold and how because the economy is currently non-functional.
