Because it needs numbers in Cyrodiil.
If everyone has leaved, we should leave too.

Or if you like to be killed for fun, you can stay. XD

I left Thorn , Chill , Azura , Haderus and Blackwater . Because pvp in this game is not working and makes people miserable . I got this weird thing about being happy now . So I pvp on other games and just pve and rp here now . I don't give anymore money to ZOS . I play at no cost now . That's a fair price since I was purely a pvp player here and now I won't step foot in it .

I'm still here and playing a little every day. Not sure how long though. It's neck and neck whether I stop paying a sub before my cancer kills me though.

Our guild left because when we fight specific EP players all of a sudden there's lag no matter what. I've caught those same players in small groups (3v3 or so) and the same thing happens. And yet, when we fight AD, nothing but great fights, no lag unless EP is doing their normal thing at Chalman on the other side of the map again.

Unfortunately, it seems these folk are also looking to move campaigns (or have already done so) because I see them outside of Thorn now. Either way, since ZOS allows this crap to continue to happen without punishment, the only thing to do is just not even be on the same campaign as them. And if you're unlucky enough to be on their campaign, just don't bother fighting them.

Really sounds like ZOS needs to read up on packet injection and how that works. There isn't another logical explanation I can think of at this point.

I have more fun PvE carebearing now than I do in Cyrodiil, and I hate PvE

    That says a lot.

    1. I am bored
    2. The performance issues make PvP frustrating
    3. Im just tired of waiting

So tonight on my new server we faced zergs with at least 2 or 3 full raids and didn't lag. On thorn, it just took 1 and suddenly I couldn't fire a single ability all while being hit and that would be on a good night. Bad nights, you crash.

Its funny because on the new server, I have seen meteors get fired off in rapid succession, but then it stops and it doesn't stop the combat.

I'm still hanging on thorn, though going to take a break for a few days most likely to switch home campaigns and make thorn my s campaign for get out of trouble server when things get hairy in my new home campaign.

But we will see how things go , very tired and bed time in a hour or so, but doubt my feelings will change

Because EP has pop lock before 6am est, with ad and dc at 1-2 bars. By the time DC gets enough people to be competitive with the red blob, the lag is intense. Basically it's become impossible to get good fights on TB.

I like seeing new players and lots of casuals in PvP. A constant flow of new players is what keeps a game ticking in my opinion. There is a way to test the number of players on a server by using the rankings.
So, I log onto PvP the first day when the campain starts to do a few points. Than I log off for weeks and my character still stays on position 100-150. This position should be much lower, if we'd have decent player numbers in pvp. After not logging in for while, you PvP rank SHOULD get down to 1k+ or so. This would proove that there are enough players for a genuine pvp-player base. Before 1.6 the player base went down significantly. I'll check the new numbers, now that the campain restarted.

Lag, went to Chillrend about two months and was lag free fighting red and blue. Then about a week ago the Reds I recognize from Thorn showed up and so did the lag....this is the NA server

I want to clarify, I'm expressing why I switched to Chillrend when the offer was presented to us by guild leadership. I am not speaking for the entire guild.

I got sick of the lag on Lagblade, one guild on EP in particular was causing it no matter where they were at, you could expect the server to be brought to its knees weaping for them to get off the game. so i went over to chillrend for some lag free fights for 3 weeks and then one night it starts lagging like crazy. guess what, there was that guild that kills servers from ep transfered over to chillrend. this to me proves that what ever they are doing ZoS needs to look at, the are the soul reason for the lag. i just dont know how these guys can play like that, their games must be lagging too right?

Our DC guild, among many, have left and had a great night last night. I can't in good conscience keep leading my crews into lagged out battles and crashes that lead to all of us having to reboot the game and go through the lengthy process of logging back in, often losing spots in groups and causing chaos. In our new server we experienced the same numbers at times as we did in Thorn but zero lag, zero crashing to desktop and for the first time in a long time our ts was filled with raucous banter and laughter and not frustration. The "BADS" in Thorn can buff out that server, nobody cares anymore. Soon they will have to file for ap foodstamps because nobody will be there for them to terrorize.

And my advice to any DC on Thorn still is get out-find a new campiagn. :) don't stay there by yourselves without the bigger guilds. And have fun-your free time is too precious to spend it being angry and frustrated.

blackwater blade is a fantastic campaign. chillrend and Azruas star has recently seen action as well.

leave the lag infested crap hole known as thornblade and come play in campaigns y'all will have fun in.

You will all have a much better time with this game if y'all do.
y'alls free time is too important to waste being angry and frustrated. you are all here to have fun, so do so. go play where you will all have fun, dont play in thornblade if its utter frustration; no matter how much peer pressure you face.

My reason is much the same as everyone else's in this thread. But I also have to say I was sick of DC not being able to work together for much of the campaign. We're all free to do our own thing, but sometimes ya gotta help the faction. Do everything in your power to pay attention to the map and get your group where it's needed. Even if that means taking a long ride to attack KC or Farragut only to be wiped out. But yet you helped by drawing EP away from the front lines.

I think many players just want to play like it's a death match in Halo or something. Just keep running back and forth between Bleakers and Chalman. Dying over and over, gaining absolutely no ground. Like one-celled ameoba's running into the same wall over and over. But hey., who cares about the faction, or winning, or getting those nice rewards at the end right?

Its that or keep a spread out stream down toward nickel and that area. The times I didn't have many guildies on and just followed the crowd and joined a PUG group, I didn't for very long as I sat there watching them almost single file head on.

Same here. I like seeing the refresh. And I don't miss some of the "usuals" in zone chat. Now, the ever-expanding EP zerg is what's making things dull a bit....

Disabling the grass may improve performance.

For my taste PvP in Cyrodiil is abit to much focused on keep takes/defending with a to big role for siege weapons. I like player vs player, i dont like player vs siege weapon (s)

About the lag, before primetime its ok, evenings a much worser, lowering your gfx settings helps, the queue is terrible.

There's really no point for anyone to be "running away" from these campaigns. As seen in many previous iterations of campaign abandonments, it's only a matter of time before wherever the "action" moves to draws the attention of those who were in the old campaign with all the complaints and then that campaign becomes as bad as the old. Technical issues or not, the people in PvP are humans who crave the competition and if any noticeable amount of competition moves (EG: EP controlling Thornblade is kind of noticeable), the competition will be followed when controlling a campaign gets boring and there's so little competition that you don't even earn "Reward Tiers" any more.

This is just my speculation and I mean it with all due respect, but I think blue and yellow brought this on themselves. I don't usually play in groups, which means the ffa style ala Wabbajack suites me and I rarely leave Thornblade, and from my understanding the other servers are always one color which means I wouldn't stand a chance there on my own. It also means EP are pretty much entirely on Thornblade while our enemies are fairly spread out. If all the campaigns were treated as normal then maybe all the factions would be incentivized to check them out.

I don't know what the solution is. I'm not leaving my home campaign but it would be cool if I could hop into other servers with the expectation there will be fair fights in all of them.

At this point you probably won't find anyone but pugs at your home keeps, at least I hope not. I know it sucks to start from there just as it sucks to not have anyone to play against.

    This.

PVP in this game has AMAZING potential but AWFUL execution.

The lag-fest that passes for PVP is nothing but a frustrating waste of time and energy.

The only fun I have ever had with PVP in this game has been the rare occasions where larger scale siege battles take place between no more than ~20 vs 20, beyond which everything just stops working. Lately I don't even bother.

One year in now and something has to change. Either add more campaigns and lower pop caps or use the money from console release to buy the servers you should have in the first place to avoid losing half your subscribers due to hardware investment lag which forced you to go B2P in the first place.

i was on thornblade again today and it was horrible, alot of red lags all around when more than two raids clashed, but even more amazing where the times when i had like 150 ping and still couldnt get out a single spell oO . Once we "sieged" an empty keep and still got lag its so ridiculous -.-
