You mean that will compete endgame? There isn't any. There's a Templar (not the best magicka dps class either) that posted a video on youtube recently showing him doing 16k DPS while spot healing in a raid. The best a Sorc can pull in the best scenario with zero mistakes is 14k. The best of the Sorc builds will get you crap DPS compared to everyone else.

A simple magicka PvE dps build that I'm using at the moment is 5 martial, 4 healer, 2 torugs pact. Good dps, good sustain.

All magicka enchants except chest for a little extra hp, spell cost reduction on healer jewellery, it's working well for me in all the vet dungeons.

The other option for more burst less sustain is 5 martial, 1 torugs, 1 adroitness with adroit neck and rings of cyro light and torugs staff.

Gives more spell damage for more burst, but less sustain, might be better for trials as you can just spell sym for your mana.

I think the other option is 4 martial, 2 undaunted, 2 torugs, with healer jewellery, or cyro light jewellery and a random neck. If I ever get a master's staff might try 5 martial 2 undaunted, healer jewellery and master's staff.

There are no 1 good-for-every-place sorc builds.
Yuo need to have 1 buil fo Trials, 1 build for solo Craglorn, 1 build for Vet Dungeons, 1 build for Cyrodiil solo and 1 for party group. With the different equips, of course, if you want to be a good sorc with descent acceptible damage. And you need to have at least 2 builds for healing - 1 for Vet Dungeons and 1 for Cyrodiil, with the different sets too, if you want to be near as Templars in healings.

I've personally seen sorcs pull up to 15-16k. ~12k on trial bosses. So don't listen to anyone who tells you they can't. 4 martial, 2 torugs, 2 cyrodiil light and 2 valkyn skoria. Liquid lightning, shooting star ult.

That's about all I know cause my sorc is a pansy and I love my dk too much. But it's out there, so don't give up.

Also, classic Magicka/Staff DPS is a good way to go. Tanks are also pretty fun.

People post theorycrafting builds with other people helping to tweak the Sorc build to be the best it can be and then post's videos of it and it's DPS is at most 14k (like 13.9k but /shrug) DPS in 90 second fights. Unless of course you mean in 30 sec fights where you have a fully charge Overload and burn it all. In which case that's not sustained DPS, that's embarrassing to the poster and other people who want to take the poster seriously.

No one is going to take "I've seen Sorc's do 16k sustained DPS!" when there are theory-crafter's who post video's saying "The best our "collective pool of individuals" can pull for Sorc's is 14k". It's people that muddy up the forums by saying they have "seen" higher parse's that confuse Zenimax Dev's from the truth. Sorc's need a DPS buff, adjustments to their Healing tool-kit, and adjustments to their Tanking tool-kit. This has nothing to do with taking it up or down a notch tbh.

Sure, I'll see if I can ask him for one. No one said sorcs overall don't need a buff. Christ man. You really need work on your social skills. You get more flies with honey than vinegar, as they say.

@Cody My trail build feels pretty strong and its easy to sustain, we cleared AA hard mode last Tuesday so it works quite well.

Gear: VR14 Martial Knowledge (4x), VR12 Adroitness (2x), VR14 Torug's Pact (3x - 4x), VR14 Cyrodiil's Light (2x)
2x magicka cost reduction and 1x spell damage glyphs on jewelry, chest is HA nirnhoned the rest is LA.

Main bar (nirnhoned fire staff): liquid lightning - force pulse - crystal frags - inner light - bound aegis > Shooting Star
Second bar (dual sharpened swords): power surge - mages wrath - quick cloak - inner light - bound aegis > Suppression Field

Buffed with power surge this setup gives me 2654 spell damage on my main bar and 2890 spell damage on my execute bar, with 31k magicka and 19k health. Quick Blade helps in burn phases to decrease AOE damage by 20%, it lasts for 15 seconds and its cheap to cast so its easy to keep up.

You could even replace the dual torug's pact swords with sygian daggers for even more spell damage (+- 150) at the cost of 1k health. The stygian daggers I found in guild stores were 100k a piece so I think that's too expensive because it only increases execution dps. That having said, it woul bde very cool to have more than 3k spell damage..

Edit: for vet dungeons I use a lighting staff as second weapon with shock ring, instead of DW and quick cloak and in some situations I use this slot for Hardened Ward.

Dude, just look at my build on Foundry for proof. Or any other recent build on Foundry. In fact there are many Sorc builds pulling the numbers you are claiming are not possible / don't have proof of.
