Poison dmg and armor

I have morag tong set and have much lower dps on bosses in DSA and COA compared to world bosses I test dps at. I know bosses have armor, but is poison dmg affected by armor? So if I use reduce armor snipe skill on bow instead of the poison dmg one, will my other poison attacks do more damage?
