Ice Comet bounce using defensive stance.

Can anyone test if defensive stance correctly bounces back ice comet in pvp. If im using ice comet and target a dk with reflective scales and I have defensive stance activated it should bounce back to the dk, but I have seen several times where I get the aoe damage? I don't think that is the intended mechanic. Can anyone else test this is working correctly as in the heat of battle is difficult to test with so many comets flying around.
