When you cast this on an enemy, the enemy glows for 6 seconds, then explodes for bonus damage with a damage cap. It used to absorb all damage from group and could not be stacked by multiple Templars. It now absorbs only your damage and each Templar can have his own personal Backlash up. If you recast after less than 6 seconds, I believe you wasted a cast and lowered your DPS because now it is up for 11 seconds or so and still gonna be capped. So I try to not recast until I see the glow explode and go away but ... I think other Templars casting it makes it glow. So I don't know if my Backlash expired and needs to be recast or another player's Backlash expired and needs to be recast. While I know elite players will just instinctively know exactly how to mix it into their rotation with perfect timing and never over-or-under cast it, I am pretty good but not elite. The visual cues help me a lot.
1). Am I right about the recasting? That it just extends duration while not increasing damage cap, thus is a DPS-killer? Or will it recasting it make earlier Backlash expire and do damage earlier? Which would hurt sustain because you will run out of magicka/stamina if you spam it, but would not be a direct DPS loss.
2). Am I right about Backlash glow from other Templars being visible to me? Or if the boss is glowing in Update 6, it always means my Backlash is up?
Thanks.
