BOW SKILLS and DAMAGE

I am really tired of the Over powered BOW attacks. Every player in PVP and PVE has a bow and seems to hit for some ungodly damage amount. They need a nerf. If we can't tone down the damage then increase the range of other class abilities and counters. No player should be able to stand 41 to 43 meters out and pew pew other players. My recap is always dies from bow attack. Seriously either give me a 41M RD or nerf the damage they can do.

My duel wield skills on my nightblade faaaaaar out damage my bow. My sorc doesn't use bow at all.

I only use bow since it gives me a ranged option, not because it is OP in any way.

When I die from a bow, it's cause I screwed up.

Now was already nerfed . Maybe look at your build and equipment . What are you running ?

I hit 2 times as hard with 2H then bow.

Bows don't hit that hard, but when you got several people shooting at you, especially if you wear light armor, you will obviously die.

A lot of PvPers use a bow because its a great opener for wrecking blow.

Heavy attack from stealth > Snipe > Critical Rush > Wrecking Blow > Wrecking Blow > Wrecking Blow

You may want to update your client from 1.5.

It seems that you're living in the past, my friend. The only weapons that do less damage than a bow currently are the Resto staff and 1h&s lines.

Bows are not hitting for even close to an "ungodly damage amount", though I can understand your point about the range if you aren't built to deal w/ ranged attacks at all.

Took me 10 days, but I got my bow back up to some pretty ungodly numbers

Lethal arrows hitting for 20+k, acid sprays for 10k. This is all in pve mind you, but I feel like the bow, while looking like a weaker weapon initially, has that potential still for strong dps.

Would love to know how you are getting those numbers with the bow. I've been trying to achieve some better numbers but it seems that DW and 2H are better

Bows were strait up Nerfed. With the reduction in damage from stealth and reduction in the usual spell buffs and pots, they are pathetic compared to other attacks. Bow needs a damage buff not a decrease lol. You have awesome counters at your disposal with shields, heavy armor, damage reduction spells, etc. If you're dying alot from bows you're just not doing it right.

The bow is fine. I have been using as my primary weapon since the game started. The only attack that can be said to hit for high damage is snipe from stealth or high crit and you can see it coming before it hits you. Based on the ability to see someone shooting it at you and travel time you should be attentive enough to move out the way. The rest of the abilities are on par with other weapon abilities. Ofcourose if someone puts all there points into bow attacks and what not then it will get m7ch stronger but then they are lacking else where. Bow is used for support in open feild, range on keeps, and burst damage. It is hard to face someone straight up with a bow. If the person knows what they are doing then they should not die from a person straight up using a bow the whole time. In pve there are much better dps builds then bow. Bow is still effectice however. Also, as for the range...it is a bow. Of course it can hit further then anything else that is only logical. That is the advantage the bow has. Don't let a bow user kite you close the gap. For the record though my snipe hits 48-50 meters with lethal arrow morph. And O ya they nerfed lethal arrow. Bottom line is there are plenty of ways to get around fighting someone using a bow

magic dmg: 13k-22k how? less buffs, just spam it. no need to be in stealth, no need from behind or side, with a lame gear, just spam...

Bow is crap vs magic dmg. ppl just complain to get hit from stealthed bow attacks. but why are those ppl stealthed? because troll? no. because magic can hit for 3-4 times more without stealth, than bow. So bow is harder to use, or worthless.

Who say bow is OP? i dont use bow, because it needs timing, stealth, patience and some luck, not like the spammable huge magic dmg.

Beside that, i got hit with 100 morphed snipes, and the most was 10k from behind, and from stealth. Thats your OP dmg. Magic damage was 18k without stealth, and head on. LOL at the overpowered magic users who dont like if other can hit em hard.

Exactly. My toon is a bosmer NB so i get increased stealth and stealth damage plus i run 7 peice med. for extra stealth. I also run vamp for extra speed. One skill i use is dark cloak. I basically hit with snipe dark cloak and reposition then repeat until they find me. it requires much patience and exactitude. I rely on positioning and shadows. I always play the player not the toon they are running. if they cant see you on their screen then they cant get you. I never just hit someone in open field. I use boulders, walls, buildings, trees etc to mask my presence.

That's awesome, but I think that you pretty much illustrated the fact that you have to do quite a bit more than people using other weapons to squeeze out the same kind of damage.

And that's pretty much just the opening shot from stealth.

i am a light armor user sorc, have damage sheild up constantly
with sheild up i get 2 shot by bows from stealth all the time, infact its how i die most of the time. no chance to even react or fight (aka boring and furstrating for this sorc)
i have been one shot by a stealth heavy bow attack, lol. 18k damage.
i have even tried radiant magelight and still end with the same result, and them t baging my body cause they think its skill.
boes in pvp constantly hit me for 14k, 15k out of stealth if i dont put my sheild up in time. my frags hit for 11k at most, so those of you who say bow does less then magic, lol. im stacked magicka damage and max magicka for as much power as i can muster and still am 3k off these stam bow users. i am never hit by magicka attacks this hard from one easily spammed ability like lethal arrow. some tweaking needs to be in order imo.

ya the new update made light armor squishy against bow. but i feel that is how it should be. at least for physical attacks. heavy armor is a very noticable improvement against bow and very hard to take down even from stealth. i usyally have to finish with DW
