How to get 50% damage mitigation at any level?

Anyone knows the formula after 1.6 to get the amount of armor required to have the hard cap of 50% mitigation? Can't find an updated one with the new stat values.

i cant tell for every level. I saw a thread with the actual formula somewhere but i cant find it but from my own testing at vr14 i know that hardcap is roughly 32500.

Nice I am VR10 with all blue heavy armor & reinforced traits on everything sitting around 21k now. I have put a few points into the champion system to increase armor rating as well. I haven't hit soft cap yet.

Honestly 50% mitigation seems way harder than it should be. WIth the pts template gear wearing full heavy armor which had 4 pieces reinforced for 16% extra armor each, Major and minor resolves + ward, and all heavy armor passive I only hit 25k armor and spell resist so basically 38% mitigation. With a shield I should have hit 42%. That seems to me youneed all reinforced + shield + some points in CP just to hit 50% mitigation. Dual wielding or two handed look out of the question unless you stack a armor+ spell resist set bonus with all reinforced.

Its looking like 35-38% damage mitigation for dps and 50% for fully invested tanks in heavy armor if you have a setup that runs both minor and major resolve + ward.

You get 50% mitigation at around 3300 armor.

Remember its not only about hitting armour/spell res numbers. You also gotta think about mitgating with armour bonuses and things like that. Having hardcap is nice but its not the end of it.
