Templar 1.6 -- What are my options?

I'm confused, now, since I didn't play on the PTS for more than a few minutes.

I have a VR 14 Redguard Templar. I had intended for him to be heavy armor tank when I made him back in early release not knowing the reality of heavy armor at the time. I wound up making him into a healer in full light. I can keep going with that, but I feel like it wastes the Redguard racials.

I'm open to any builds, so if you guys have some suggestions, please let me know. I'm aware of Deltia's site and I've looked at his early 1.6 build, which is pretty cool. I'd like to know if there are some other options anyone is having success with. If you have any links to builds or vids, please feel free to share.

I'm mainly interested in pvp -- any role is fine.

Unforunately, the redguard racials will be more favourable to a Stamina Templar, either as a tank or Stamina DPS. This is not to say that it is not viable as a healer with attributes invested into magicka. There are some usefull skills that use stamina that you could add to your healer build which could prove useful with etra stamina that you have still I doubt you can outheal a well built Breton Templar Healer, which I myself have now.

Sorry I cannot be of much help but I am leveling a Redguard Templar to replay the new changes in 1.6, for Roleplaying purposes and then as Tank with self heals to aid the healer in PVE. Will also use him to play a more frontline fighter (or guardian) than my main in PVP. Imperial might be better for this but I choose the Redguard.

The racial will be slightly wasted for a light armoured healer but you will have a little more stamina for dodging which also regenerates faster. A good thing to have in PVP, not so good in PVE.

However I suggest a full set of the Seducer Set and then get a 3 piece bonus from Magnus or Willows or some other set if you are a crafter. Eyes of Mara is another good one.

Prefereably droped sets with jewelry allows you to get a double 5 item set bonus. The Healer set from DSA is expensive to aquire but if you already have it then that helps tremendously. Similarly Archmage set also. Soulshine jewelry on the other hand will be a good set to have too.

Also Four Item set bonus from the Martial Knowledge set is really effective too. Cant add more magicka, then boost your spell damage which is more useflul now in 1.6 than spell crit. This set drops in Craglorn and this have been recomended by many testers.

Remember that there are no more caps so you can really focus on magicka to get very good heals from your skills

    Sets List:
    http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Sets

    As for your action bar.
    Bar 1
    1. Breath of Life
    2. Healing Springs
    3. Combat Prayer (or any skill you fancy, normally short duration ones)
    4. Healing Ward (same as above)
    5. Inner light
    U. Rememberance

    Bar 2 (mostly long duration)
    1. Breath of Life
    2. Extended Ritual
    3. Channelled Focus (your choice)
    4. Siphon Spirit \ Mutagen (your choice)
    5. Inner Light
    U. Soul Prison

To help in DPS. With the new Radiant Destruction, I plan to make this a must have on 1 of my bars together with Purifying light (Backlash morph). Normally if my group is doing well then I swap some unneded skills and aid in DPS.

    Hope these helps.

I started a new Templar myself as well, I'm going for stamina dps with some off-tanking abilities.

5 medium armor, 2 heavy armor, sword and shield, redguard.

    - Ransack/Low Slash
    - Biting Jabs
    - Invasion
    - Radiant Aura
    - Channeled Focus

Offhand weapon I don't care much about, changing it regularly to level skills.

I'm in 7 medium right now, because it's gear I already had in the bank. I'm going to play around with bow/dw for a while and see what works for. Then I'll see about mixing up some pieces, like adding heavy. I don't have the Undaunted passives, so I'm not concerned about adding in light at this point.

Giving a heavy armor build a try is also interesting, so I'll do that too.

Basically, I'm tired of healing. It's kind of boring to be honest. I just run around spamming the same spells and using support line skills when needed. I'm ready to try some other play styles that utilize the Redguard passives a bit more.

Meh I just saw that if you wear medium, you have to wear 7 pieces, else you don't get the +12% weapon damage (agility passive).
