[New Player]Orc, Dragon Knight, Tank - Need help with class build/info

Ive been playing 3 weeks now and love the game. I am an Orc DK and want to be a tank. I am unsure of how to spend my attribute points and what skills are best for tanking in PvE, and PvP.

With the new update coming this week I need some help. My class abilities use magicka, Blocking uses stamina, and I'm a Tank so i'll need a lot of health. I'm confused as to where to put my points. Do I spread them out equally between magicka, stamina, health? Or do I want to put in Magicka/Health.

Would appreciate some feedback. Ill soon hit level 50.

Also, Is there only one taunt ability? Ransack in the one hand and shield tree?

I will be going heavy armor and sword and board.

Currently as a Dragonknight tank you're going to want around 3,700 HP with food, and 1,800-2,000 Stamina and Magicka. The only abilities that you really use as a DK tank that cost Magicka are Dragon's Blood and Spiked Armor, there's currently two taunts in the game, Ransack, and Inner Fire, Inner Fire is unlocked through the Undaunted Skill Tree, you have to do Veteran Dungeons or Dungeons and get the achievements, alternatively you can do Undaunted Pledges at level 40 to get the required XP for the taunt. As far as attribute points go, don't spread them out, put most of them into Health, and the rest into Stamina OR Magicka, then enchant your armor with the other attribute that you need and Health. This is at least for 1.5, tanking might be changed somewhat in 1.6 with how much it costs to block and roll dodge now, but otherwise it's the same, focus on Health, then on Stamina, and then on Magicka, you want a large allotment of Health, and an otherwise equal allotment of Stamina and Magicka.

Agreed, though I find myself using Talons a lot with trash mobs.
You'll definitely want to prioritize health, and as a tank (esp as an Orc) you really should run a stamina build.
One change in 1.6 that will really serve you well is that Unstable Flame starts costing stamina. S/B really struggles with doing enough damage, and now you have the best melee DPS ability in the game! :D

    Ok thanks for the help.

Do you mean that blocking and dodge is going to cost more stamina in new update?

Maybe I will focus on Health, then magicka with points and get stamina gear. I tend to really use a lot of the class abilities.

    Thanks for your replies!

Blocking and dodging will cost significantly more in the new update than they do now, yes.

I would put all my points into health and makeup what you need for stamina or magicka with your gear and food. I say this because it is my understanding that things that increase your health by a percentage like racials only do it from a percentage of your base health. And, your attribute points are the only thing that increases that base health. So if you want to get the most out of your health percentage increases you need all the points in health. Or whatever, stat you are trying to maximize.

I could be wrong on this because I have never actually played with numbers but this is the understanding I have from what I have read. It also might change with 1.6 I just don't know. If someone can confirm this please post.
