Crafting Writs in 1.6

Has anyone tested Crafting Writs in 1.6?

I did 6 Level 50 Equipment Writs, and was quite pleased to obtain 4 gold tempers and one Crafting Survey. Definitely an improvement over the outcome of Level 50 Equipment Writs on the Live server. Although it did seem to me that I wasn't getting any XP. I don't mean Inspiration - my character has Level 50 in all crafting skills, so any Inspiration he gets is wasted. But on the Live server, Crafting Writs count as quests and so you get a bit of XP for completing them. I'm in the habit of switching to skills I don't use and want to level up before handing them in, and I didn't seem to be getting any advancement in skills.

I've done a few Level 50 Provisioning and Alchemy Writs. They seem entirely unchanged from 1.5. The Alchemist Writs only ever want me to "acquire" Nirnroot or Cloud Mist. I'm not sure about the Provisioning Writs due to only having done 3 of them - I've been asked for Picked Carrot Slurry and Arenthian Brandy once, and Argonian Saddle-Cured Rabbit and Sipping Imga Tonic twice. But it looks like the same three food and drink recipes are alternating, just as in 1.5 where you get Sweetroll/Honey Pudding/Honey Brittle and Bervez Lager/Bervez Wine/Berveza Vitae.

Assuming I am correct, thanks to ZoS for improving Level 50 Equipment Writs, but now something really needs to be done about Level 50 Consumable Writs.

You were lucky, I got no tempers. :)

As VR14, exp is still the same (499 if I recall well), while inspiration is wasted if you are 50 in that crafting skill.
It would be nice to get only exp instead of inspiration when the craftskill is 50.

F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days." - Matt Firor

I do mostly prov writs - all my toons do prov writs every day while the other five skills are spread out (seven of my toons are mules and thus have too few skill points to cover every single skill).
Prov writs in 1.6 can pop Frost Mirriam. This is a really big deal. I never turned on my hirelings on PTS but ZoS has made it clear that my prov hirelings will not bring me the rate of Frost Mirriam going forward as compared to my Tomato rate in pre-1.6.

Regarding writs, I'm just going to leave this (link to original post) here:

so we will no longer get legendaries from hirlings...

these writs had better be a good replacement.

They've GOT to rebalance crafting writs. As it is now, you can make provisioning, alchemy or enchanting writs practically for free (about 3 materials required per writ, in enchanting you only ever need white glyphs), while the other professions require something like 60-100 materials, and they're not balanced among them.

I did writs only until I got the achievement and IIRC clothing required the largest amount of gear, and therefore materials. After a few days you find yourself having to dedicate some time to harvesting nodes so you can complete the writs.

I would like to see clothing, woodworking and blacksmithing writs require about the same materials, and the number of pieces required for the writs reduced to 3-5 instead of the 8-10 that you currently need to make.

I am VR1 and 36 in Clothing - yet I keep getting writs that require clothing level 40. So that's an issue.

Did my first one post 1.6 for both clothing and blacksmithing. The clothing one wasn't bad at all, I got the standard fare and a legendary mat. As for the the blacksmithing one.....

I got an Almandine. That's it. A single Almandine.

Disappointing, and while I get that you win some and you lose some, this is like beyond losing. *mutters something about it not even being a decent trait stone*
