Would it be hard to give the templates the ability to craft the various sets?
With this in place there would be absolutely no reason that any player would even NEED a character copy. You could make a template in the exact likeness to your main character that we have on live.
You would need these things -

All Styles unlocked

*Bag of Armor Gems* -All armor gems
*Bag of Style Gems* -All style gems
