World Skill leveling

This may be old news, but just wondering:
I know a World Skill tree levels as you do, but do the skills themselves level passively with your character, or only if they are on your bar?
If passively, does having them on your bar make them level more quickly?

The skill trees themselves each level in a different way.

Soul Magic - Levels via main story completion, max level 6.
Werewolf - Levels from kills in WW Form, max level 10.
Vampire - Levels from experience earned, max level 10.
Legerdemain - Levels via stealing/picking locks, max level unknown.

As for if slotting the Vampire/Werewolf active skills I don't know if they will increase the EXP earned in those skill lines.

Okay. Yeah I cant for the life of me, find any info on the skills specifically. Wondering if I need to bother having the unmorphed versions of some skills on my hotbar.

In order to level the separate world skills (active ones) you need them on your skill bar. Passives you can level up with skill points as you level up.

Legerdemain max Rank is 20. You can check out as much info as I have gained for it HERE. Slotting more Vampire abilities does level the tree faster just like any other Tree. As for WW, it makes no difference, you can hit Level 10 in less than 1 hour with only the xform and Pounce on the bar.

I believe that any skills which can be slotted on your bar (so all actives) level up only from experience while slotted. I have never seen one which leveled any other way. Hope that helps.

Thanks guys, yeah I was more trying to figure out if it was worth keeping some vamp actives on my bar to get them morph ready before 1.6

No worries, it's still a work in progress as once you get past Rank 6-7 or so it gets much slower to level up each day. Not sure that I'll cap it in a single week but I at least want to beat my Rank 13 in 1.6 this week while NA has PTS. I'm half way to 12 now so should at least be able to get to 14-15 before our week is up.
