Stop This Trend

Player of class A writes a post on the forum about how he got nerfed. There's 4 classes in the game. Lets say all 4 classes are represented in the threads replies. What we will usually see is class A complaining about the nerf and trying to reason with ZOS, and class B C and D cheering at the nerf, highly outnumbering the contributions of class A. Without knowing it, a line has been drawn, a vote has been taken and the winner is obvious.

Most of you guys are so transparent. You obviously want to see nerfs on other classes so you can beat them easier 1 on 1 and you want your class to be the best. The game isn't even about 1 on 1. Don't forget that when you say "Yeah, serves them right to get nerfed..." you are not only talking about your enemies... This is not Dark Age of Camelot or Warhammer Online where your enemies play different classes that are not available to your allies.

Reflect on this next time you jump into a nerf thread, especially if its a class you do not play.

What about if you have 2 characters of every class? Hmm.. B)

    Now that's just mean.

Anyways on topic, just because someone cries when they get nerfed, doesn't mean it wasn't correct. Also, just because someone cries nerf doesn't mean they actually got nerfed. People are humans, means there are bound to be pessimists who scream really loud without ever testing a thing thus drowning all legitimate feedback anyway. :)

Honestly, better advice would be for people to use /feedback instead of the forums if they don't want to hear when people disagree with them.

Edit: I guess this thread was started because Puncturing Strikes isn't a perma-cc forever anymore? Yay. :#

True, but the forums are here and people use them.

P.S. This is not a class specific thread. Please do not derail it.

Hehe, I'm just providing some insight for people who see it and don't feel like looking at post history, as it sorta proves my point above.

Ignoring that part, here are your options:

/Feedback - can be used to provide personal feedback without the opportunity of anyone to object or share their own view of the "issue".

Forums - can be used to provide feedback but also allows other people to object, share more information and/or alternative options.

Utilize the one that suits you best, but you can not ask people not to object against feedback that they feel is incorrect.

This post is OP nerf this post.

I have really given up trying to even talk to the loudest complainers, its healthier!
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

Go ahead and take the lawyer approach and get crushed under the big picture since you can't see it.

That's why you generally ignore opinions by players commenting on classes other than their primary. They're often ill-informed, and they sometimes have an agenda other than overall game balance.

Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

I've noticed lately that people tend to take it as far as "primary" class, of course they will decide for you which your primary class is, as they couldn't possibly know this.. but really, they just want to discredit you because they cannot be bothered to open their eyes.

All-in-all after spending some time on the PTS forums, I'm not at all worried about the F2P community anymore.. turns out we had these people all along!

I don't know! In game almost all the people I meet are nice, my ignore list only has like 3 players on it.. and the people who have been really bad either left or got banned (idk which, they just disappeared). Then I come here and I get sad.. :\

Yeah, its pathetic. You can't have a conversation about anything because some sad salty sack has to come in and forum warrior their own class and derail it. Not wanting to sift through the salty drama the developers likely miss most of the thread content and prefer /feedback over salty pts forums.

Just to make the point (That I've made in other threads)... there are WAY too many people that say "X is stronger than Y... buff Y or Nerf X"... but they don't give the context (PvP or PvE).

And this is here again... your comment indicates that players want to 'beat' others... so is most likely coming from a PvP perspective...

It would be fair to say that the majority of players in the game are PvE based, so if they are giving feedback of class based issues then its nothing to do with wanting to beat others... its that they want to be able to just play with others without being the poor relation / excluded from content due to their class/ build.

EDIT: You're right though... there will of course be people QQ'ing because they want to be top of the tree... but I don't think thats the majority at all.... just a vocal minority. Most just want balance.
