[Q]When can EU players expect PTS character copy and when the actual version goes live?

That's it for this month's Road Ahead – with 1.6 going live in February, Tamriel Unlimited launch in March, and console launch in early June, it's going to be a very fun late-winter and early-spring in Tamriel!

So we know it goes live in February today is 12th Feb. so can we EU players know when do we get our character copies and when can we expect final testing and preparations for the update going live, also how more bug fixes can we expect, give it some rough date distance from now.

EU players got their characters copied last week, and will have them again next week (this time with the 3600 CP unlocked)

Also, 1.6 will hit live in the last week of february.

Ans as to how much bug fixes we can expect, I don't know, but I hope we'll have a lot of them

Well there are two weeks so if next week we get templates, we got only one week more to test? lol

Yep, we're planning on doing another character copy for EU next week with patch 1.6.3.

Thats great Gina but you arent answering any real questions. For example streak and encase are not procing shards anymore. Is this an intended ninja nerf or is this a bug?

Why are we being left in the dark over simple questions like this? Beta testing is a two way street.

Personally I think it'd be a mistake to launch 1.6 so early. It is a monumental patch, there are monumental issues and concerns, and it is equally difficult to address them all. I don't expect small things like the funny wall textures inside the winery east of Belkarth or the bugged apple baskets south of town to get fixed off the bat, but rather more attention should be given class balancing.

It does not sit well with me that more and more abilities are getting outright nerfed rather than bringing some skills up to par to others with wider utility. This business with homogenizing buffs under the same categories, heroism etc, increased potion cooldowns, reduced consumable utility. This is looking less like a Elder Scrolls game and more like a MMO. And yes it is a Elder Scrolls MMO but what should've been the defining characteristic of it was that it was a MMO played AS an Elder Scrolls game, not a MMO with Elder Scrolls skin.

There's alot of things that should be rethought before live. Whether or not they'll be given attention or changes will be made is up to the developers of course, but having put up with being told "bring the player not the class" then having the dev turn around and roll out mass homogenization, I don't want to see ESO go the same road. Stay true to the "Play how you want" philosophy.

Given past history it's a safe bet that what goes live next week (which is their stated plan) won't be the PTS build this week, so I'd go for live being 1.6.4, unless they 'forget' to change it's version number as has happened several times before in the hope we didn't spot changes added after the last 'test' session.

Yep, usually Tuesdays for the pts update /character copy.

Based on the cadence, it appears as though 'NA' will not see another PTS release before 1.6 goes live.
