Does empowered ward work with volatile familiar explosion?

It is tough for me to test because I can't get my add-ons working on PTS. Does anyone have confirmation if the 30% bonus dmg from empowered ward works on the Volatile Familiar explosion?

✭✭I have tested that the Deadric Prey morph of Deadric Curse does not work with Volatile Familiar Explosion.
I haven't tested the shield morph yet, I may do that later.
Also, it seems to me after testing with another player, that the Volatile Familiar Explosion does take Spell Resistance of the enemy, but not the caster's Spell Penetration into account. I haven't tested this as much though.
Testing this is also still a pain as I don't get damage numbers of the explosion in my addons, have to rely on what other players tell me or look closely on the mob's healthbar...DAGON - ALTADOON - CHIM - GHARTOK
