1.6.1 XP towards champion points

With 1.6, every veteran character on your account gained XP on the same XP bar towards gaining a new Champ Point.

Seems to me with 1.6.1 each vet character has his own XP bar.

Since i didn't see that coming in the patch notes, i kinda wonder if it's the new way it'll work now or is it a bug ?

Intuitively I suspect it was originally bugged, it would be far too player-friendly (and 1.6 seems to show ZOS don't think 'player friendly' is the way to go) to allow us to get XP on any character we have in order to grind CPs.

I thought champion point pool was account-wide. Wouldn't that mean that all characters would have to have the same champion point progress bar?

I don't see a need for it to be.

The CS 'pool' is account-wide, but the XP needed to create a new CP I would expect to be per-character for the reason I said, allowing players to choose which character to get the next 100k of the 400k for a CP would be helpful and the CS system seems to be the antithesis of helpful.

I keep forgetting to log into Rift and look at their PA system, which ZOS CS design is clearly based on if not an almost outright copy in terms of how it works.

champion point pool IS account-wide...
Progress bar was account-wide (with vet character only) on 1.6, but doesn't seem to be anymore with 1.6.1
And that saddens me a lot.
