The provisioning writs and other provisioning changes in 1.6.1

I have been doing some testing with my copied character who is currently a level 50 provisioner (and @ level 24 Sorcerer) and My VR7 Sorcerer who is currently level 6 provisioner.

I had never done any writs on the live server with either of these characters.

When I received a writ - I could not make the items because the recipes to make said items did not appear to be readily available.

- the one recipe I found to be available in a guild store was not available for me to buy (I don't know if because its a pts server and this is a live guild or I need to be a member of that particular guild to buy it.

My point is! I think that any recipe at any level which is required for writ completion should be available to purchase from a vendor/grocer.

All other recipes are fine as found items.

On the subject of grocers, The price increase made in patch 1.6.1 was hugely excessive in my opinion. I would consider 50g each a fair price. Also, the compensation for old stuff which can no longer be used is insulting at 10g - I consider this should be the same price @‌ 50g.

I do like the increase in stack sizes and it should release some inventory slots as I do have a tendency to hoard stuff (I pick up and resource which isn't nailed down or that I have to steal.

I don't wish to become a thief in the new justice system and would hope that items available to steal in cities will also be available to "acquire" in dungeons (where it isn't considered to be stealing)

I did however steal a couple of recipes and immediately used them and was not issued with a bounty or summoned by the guards so I don't know if this is working as intended - I would however rather buy the recipes than steal them but only if they are for crafting writs (mentioned earlier)

Agreed. The last thing any writ should do is force the player to obtain what could be a very difficult item to find.

Agreed, 150g is too steep an increase. However, current grocer price is 63g, so why should the new price be cheaper? As for setting the price for old foods at 50g, that is over-reaching. While pepper loss is substantial, most of the other old foods are worth little to nothing currently, but will be worth 1000g per stack. Stuff your mules now and you can more than make up for the loss of pepper.

This I do not understand, unless your character is a pure crafter that never engaged in any combat with NPCs or creatures. Objecting to stealing on moral grounds makes no sense if you have already KILLED in the game. Isn't killing more morally wrong than stealing? Are you saying it's okay to kill in a game, just not steal? Please explain this to me?

Yes, it worked as intended. You stole something and got away with it. Admit it, it felt good, didn't it? Did you feel a little swell of pride?

@ZOS_GinaBruno‌ it was said when provisioning was being updated that the 'old' ingredients would be sold for the same value as the new ones, so that we could buy the new ingredients.

Will this still hold true now that the new ingredients have increased in price? Was it an oversight to not increase the 'old' ingredients in price as well?

I just don't like getting caught lol - BUT! the people I often kill are not nice people - So I guess Im a vigilante of sorts xD
