ZoS: Seriously Concerned!

rogue_gamer32b14_ESO
I still very upset by these B2P moves and the lack of content. My guild and myself have started looking for another MMO…Asking the player base to wait 6-9 months for content…is completely unacceptable. If ZoS waits till late June-September to release new content....the game is sadly dead. Content should be coming out every single 2-3 months minimum.

On top of this they have ruined the class balance even more. I currently play a sorcerer, to be competitive, I may as well reroll. Players are rerolling from Sorcerer to other classes in mass, due it nerfs. Sorcerer PVE dps has been completely ruined. Players rerolling Templar in mass, due to it's massive overly buffed gameplay. And don't get me started on the PVP balance issues.

We have been a beta test for console this whole time. To put it as nice as I can. A console release should have never been offered. Consoles lifetimes are far shorter 3-5 years maximum. Which means remaking the game for the next version (which is already in the works….) Barely anyone play’s on consoles anymore. I’m sorry to say it, however it’s just the truth. Console game sales are down in historic levels across the board. Meanwhile PC game sales are at all time highs. Mainly due to you can buy a good PC/MAC and have a good computer for far longer than you can a console.

ESO on console should have never even been a option. Mark my words here. Consoles will without a dough cause ESO to go down the drain.

    Poor management decisions and greed are what's going to cause ESO to go down the drain.

    Unfortunately this is what has put down every MMO I've ever played.

    Publishers, mostly, cause the downfall by pushing the developers too much to get a return on their investment. EA is absolutely notorious for doing this to the games they publish, and Activision is almost as bad. Dont know who's behind ZOS' strings, but they're pulling the wrong way.

    You said that you are looking into next MMO. What MMO do you like in particular as of now?

    Yes! I want to know where all the ESO players are going. They're a great & loyal bunch - love hanging with them!

    Nowhere. The MMO industry has finally achieved their greatest wish. They have excluded all real competition by setting the cost bar too high to break into anything but the unnoticed "indie" industry, buying up or outright plagiarizing anything of promise just to cannibalize it with no intention of funding a complete and independent work. They have thus established a total monopoly of mediocrity, leaving the loyal masses without compass or direction, all to avoid redistribution of wealth to fund new talent. :p

    Not because they can't afford it mind you, but rather because the higher-ups honestly believe their made-up god of greed told them too and they mindlessly obey. So it is with modern "business." Screwing over the writers is just another fad of the moment, like how it is considered "cool" by so many misguided attention deficit sufferers to call yourself an atheist, or how worshiping before the mockery of ethical morality somehow magically transforms you into some sort of science super-hero. All so we can feel like big important men, or women as the case may be.

    There IS no new MMO on the horizon worth pursuing, at least that I have seen. Any talent left in the industry knows it is rotten to the core, and are either on-board with that agenda, in which case expect more of the same, or have or will soon jump ship in the hopes of landing private contracts with spoiled rich brats seeking writers for their private virtual reality fantasy constructs.

    Meanwhile, the general public will be left to digest the scraps which they will inevitably consume, for if all that is available is garbage, people will pay for garbage.

    Not saying ESO is garbage; I still rather like it, even though all I really want to play is a melee Sorcerer, and yet it still appears be the absolute worst possible failure as of the latest 1.6, post 50 at any rate.

    Oh well. Life, such as it is, goes on.

    I'm still locked in angsty despair that World of Darkness has been shelved.
    VR14 Templar, VR14 DK, VR8 DK, VR7 NB, VR1 Sorcerer;
    All 3 Alliances;
    2 Pre-order Imperial Accounts, yes that means 16 characters on NA alone

    Zenimax really has to push out new content with Tamriel Unlimited or few months after that. To drain the PC playerbase more will cause PC-ESO to finally disappear in insignificance.
