what if attribute points had diminishing return? but started higher?

right now in test its:

stam: 111
magi: 111

what if all of them started at 150-200 and reduced down to 100 as you invested more points into that attribute?

this kind of benefits hybridization while not terribly punishing raw single stat builds. and has been ZOS's solution to other such systems (champion, armor, spell resist, etc.)

    Why did they get rid of softcaps, again? Can someone point me to a recent discussion where a ZoS dev has explained it? Thanks in advance.

    I assume it's to further promote build diversity and to allow most players to mold their characters how they see fit(and be viable doing it). Which is the main thing ESO has going for it, compared to any other MMO released atm. In the end it could work out to be great, but they will have to do a lot of fine tuning of individual skills and CP.
