Impenetrable and Critical Resistance:

With the change with Impenetrable to now give critical resistance instead what is the new best traits for crafted gear.

First lets talk Impenetrable to get an idea on how it was changed:
Impenetrable now gives critical resistance instead of lowers the chance to be critically hit.

A base VR14 will have require 3200 Critical Resistance to negate the base 50% critical damage bonus.

3200 Critical Resistance is needed to reduce critical damage by 50%.
(value 50 * (your Character Level + your Veteran Rank number).

1 piece of legendary armor with Impenetrable will give 100 Critical Resistance. For each legendary Impenetrable trait will equal ~1.5625% less critical damage bonus.

Lets assume a player has 7 legendary impenetrable armor pieces. This will equal 10.9375% less bonus damage. This is not from 150% total critical damage, but just from the 50% critical bonus.

Example:
No Critical Resistance
Base Attack: 1,000 Damage
Crit Base Attack: 1,500 Damage. (500 damage is the bonus critical damage).

With 700 Critical Resistance:
Attack: 1,000 Damage
Crit Attack: ~1,391 Damage
(math: 1,000 x 1.39065)
===============================

With 100 points in the Champion tree its possible to gain 25% critical resistance. I dont thing anyone will obtaining this for a very long time though.

There may be other sources of critical resistance but I havent seen them. Overall critical resistance will likely not exist in PvP an

===============================

I always though Impenetrable was over powered and needed to be changed, It is in line with the other traits now, but it scares me on how common critical attacks will now be in PvP. (50-60% critical chance will likely be common).

This in turn is greatly increase the TTK ratio which I think is way to high atm in PvP on average.

    There is the "Armor of the Construct" that provides 20% resistance to critical hits as a five set bonus.

    Yeap, The change to impen is why TTK has decreased so much...and it just makes Shields that much more overpowered

    I picked up a set of that armor of the construct to test. It's +20% reduction plus 11% from all 7 pieces, plus 25% from the champ passive. = 56% total. I won't have that much in champ points but I will test what I have at some point.

    It will be a solid set for a tanky type. I wish it had a weapon or jewelry.
