Heavy, Medium, and Light armor passive suggestion
So i have been looking at resource management and how it effects how fun a build is. Obviously the more active your toon is the more fun it is to play. What this ends up doing is making Light armor and Medium armor the more fun choices in armor types because they reduce the cost of magicka or stamina for abilities respectively. The cost reduction attached to Light armor and Medium armor is 21% for there respective stat. Now Heavy armor gets no cost reduction and there for ends up being a lot less active. So how to balance this out but still keep all armor types unique?
1. I would reduce the cost of all magicka and stamina spells and abilites by 21%. Across the board every skill in the game.
This gives all 3 armor types increased efficiency. Light armor will gain 21% stamina cost reduction over what it has now. Medium armor gains 21% magicka cost reduction over what it has now. Heavy armor gains the most by getting a 21% Stamina and Magicka cost reduction over what it has now.
2. Change the Light armor(Evocation) and Medium armor(Wind Walker) passives to increase Max magicka or Max Stamina. Make it a 2 point passive. 1 point gets you 1% per piece of the specific armor type and 2 points gets you 2% per piece. So light armor and medium armor would end up with 14% more magicka or stam but all armor types would have the same ability costs.
I feel these changes would make all 3 armor types active and fun but also stick to the current focuses of each armor type. Also if you want to use an ability out side of your armors specialty it will feel less punishing. I feel this is more in line with what ESO is about. If anyone has any additional feedback please share it.
