Dragonknight Inferno Skill

agabahmeatshieldb14_ESO
The Dragonknight Inferno skill shows that it has no cost to activate on the tooltip, and does not cost Magicka or reduce maximum Magicka when slotted or activated. The tooltip for both Oblivion and Sea of Flames, however, says that it "Reduces maximum Magicka by 15% when activated."

Either the tooltip is wrong, or the skill is bugged and the two morphs are not applying their maximum Magicka reduction. Neither morph reduces Magicka when slotted or activated.

If the tooltip is simply wrong, that's great, it's an easy fix. If the tooltip is correct, however, and the skill is bugged, I feel that the cost is way too high. A 5% reduction, similar to Magelight, would be more reasonable.

umm.. magelight INCREASES magicka now.. learn to PTS

however.. good catch.. inferno should decrease magicka by 15% per the tooltip. It does not cost anything to activate.. that is correct. Dev's have stated that it should cost nothing to cast. (Minus the 15% decrease)
If the magicka is not decreasing.. /bug it.. cause it should.. per tooltip.

magelight currently reduces magicka by 5% on pts

so does radiant magelight according to the tooltip.

    inner light increases magicka.

It definitely needs a larger reduction than magelight considering it deals free fire damage while providing the same spell crit(and weapon crit if choosing the appropriate morph).

Wait so the 15% magicka loss is suppose to be occurring... I just assumed it was a bug thinking, nah they wouldn't possibly put something like this on it.

You have to slot it twice to get 1 use of it already. It doesn't need 15% magicka loss too.
What are stamina users, or hybrids going to do when they lose 15% of their weakest stat (Magicka) for 20% weapon crit? My guess is they will go for evil hunter for their major prophecy buff.

(I had initially thought that the magicka loss would effect damage but was reminded it did not, so it's not as bad as I initially thought. I apologize for any frustrated undue verbage over the debuff. Though I still think the cost is over the top for what is essentially 50 damage a second stdps on live and already costs 2 skill slots. I think the stamina user problem is still an issue.)

    The damage is rather pathetic.

    The damage is rather pathetic.

Also, considering the opportunity cost loss of slotting inferno (in place of another skill), it is more than just pathetic.
