1.6 Ulti Generation - ZOS please consider this tweak to the new system it would be helpful

As we know you generate Ulti at 3 points for 8 seconds after a light/heavy attack.

Having been on the PTS I would like to suggest that the bash/interrupt action (which can be with any weapon in hand and not just sword and shield) should act like a light attack and start the 8 second clock ticking to generate Ulti.

This would be an enormous help to all, especially Tanks who otherwise will be opening themselves up for one almighty mauling.

Just think of the number of times in a fight that you need to bash/interrupt that annoying Healer or the menace with a bow.

ZOS please consider this suggestion as a positive approach to helping people be more at ease with the new changes in 1.6

I would appreciate any and all constructive feedback from the community on this suggestion and let me know the positives and negatives.

Tanks holding block forever and never letting go is already a problem. They have worked on alleviating the issue with the new light attack mechanic, and also increasing block costs for most everyone who isnt built for blocking. Your suggestion would allow tanks to continue holding block and never let go. You should have to let go of block as least for a fraction of a second once every 8 seconds...

Initially, when this hit PTS, I believed the same as you, that bash should reset the timer. As a tank, I was completely opposed to the change to begin with.

However, I honestly don't feel it's necessary. To be honest, this isn't coming from a raid standpoint yet, but from dungeons and such, I didn't seem to have much trouble with it.

If you are a DPS, this should be up for you pretty much non stop, so I guess I am wondering why you feel this would be needed?

I hate this close minded nonsense. I'm willing to guess you are a DPS, no? That means you are upset that some tank was able to mitigate all of your damage while block casting? And probably kill you while you where spamming AoE damage?

Yeah, no sympathy. Tanks have to have a purpose in PvP. That means tanks use their shields to mitigate damage while silly DPS like you chase after them, and use mitigation and interrupt so keep you off a healer.

What you are saying is that they shouldn't be allowed to have that purpose because it undercuts what you want to do? You already get to spam your AoE and force a tank to burn through stam, but I guess that's not enough.

considering the dmg output on some encounters, specifly sanctum it is mandatory for the tank to hold down block key, so I agree with you, this would be a nice addition :)
