✭✭✭✭✭Is it really that hard to copy both servers with databases? possibly with a name prefix NA or EU?
The names are not the problem. It is the database keys. Is your character name the key? It is more likely it is some big long number, like Marta = 13572468097531. Then, that number is also on all your gear and achievements and quests and map markers and skill points expended and on and on. So if Marta EU is 13572468097531 and Billy NA is 13572468097531, the name does not even matter. It is that all those other database tables are now linked to both Marta and Billy. Which would cause confusion and havoc when Marta and Billy log in. Or it might violate some database integrity laws and refuse to even apply in the first place.0 -

Sylvyr✭✭✭✭✭For the purposes of a test server and clashing unique IDs why not prepend NA char data with a number and EU with a different number. It could be more complicated than that but I agree with others, losing guilds and toons that you are already are familiar with significantly reduces testing ability from the public. Should really have had both NA and EU parallel copy in place before the big push to get us on PTS for 1.6. =/

Yes, choose in the Menu, the template, make choices like class, race etc. Don't wonder the Char is Level 1. Login the Char and you're V14 in Belkarth. Check the inventory for V14 Item-packages etc., Skill and play

Stinkur✭✭✭If we cant access our own toons depending on who's turn it is to have live copies.... do we least have access to our live server bank? Maybe have that update daily our bank from live? That way we at least can put items in bank to test things out before we log out the night before on live.
This might give a temp work around for both sides.
