Thank you.
1) i have not played many TES games... single player games are not my thing... im playing ESO strictly for the fact it is an mmo.
2) ultima online, everquest, lineage 1&2, shadowbane, DaoC, WoW, Warhammer, guild wars 1&2, 4 story, Darkfall are the ones i can think of.... other than lineage i have played each more than 2yrs.

I think I get it. You have to understand the history of TES games to see where these updates being implemented in 1.6 and future updates are trying to bridge the gap between a MMO and what players of TES who have never played an MMO before are expecting when the put the disc in the ps4 / Xbox one on launch date. If a consol gamer pops this game in as it stands right now they won't be playing it for very long because other then some quest styles being the same and the lore it's not the same experience, not even close.

I have put several hours on the PTS. My characters all feel STRONGER than they do on live even though I forgot to add the champion points until after my test. Yes, one of the four VRs is a V14.
Yes, I do agree that 1.6 is a first. The game is VASTLY improved. It is not perfect but it is certainly better than it is on live. Only problem with the pts is a lot of my guildies haven't downloaded it so the chat is missing. As I come from a TES background, this isn't a real problem but I have found that I do like the chatter.
I realize that I will be gaining lols because I am liking the changes. Oh well. I am entitled to my opinion just as others are entitled to their opinions. If you don't like the game, nothing is keeping you here. Just leave. It will likely improve the game for everyone. The haters can find another game, and the rest of us can play in peace.
To quote Star Trek, "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one." Wanna guess where the 'gear farmers' are? I will give you a hint. It is not the many. Player crafted sets are stronger than the dropped gear.
And the old guy in the wedding dress is funny. I think I saw him at the PvP test last night.

IMO, the game is not for us anymore. It is for console players. The game is done, but its ok if some have hopes. And I understand that you like the game and dont want it to be what is gonna be. In fact I lost a lot of time fooling myself since beta days. But you have to be blind to not see that the game now is just made for console players,to sell boxes and let them make the same content you already did faking it all with cp.Thats all.

Are we playing on consoles here? I personally could care less about what they do to consoles as im paying to play on PC. I don't understand your reasoning here but thats your opinion. Also this game was released as an mmo, was it not?

To be correct I think it was released as an Elder Scrolls game online. As for the reasoning it's simple, TES wouldn't exist without its consol fan base and I believe the investment group that help ZOS fund this game had that in mind. Again if you want another cookie-cutter MMO then play one rather then begging for this one to be WoW with TES lore.

I don't think you are understanding what im getting at sir... i don't want wow i don't want other mmo's in eso... it has nothing to do with it. Its the fact ppl including myself have played since beta putting in time and effort to make gains in skill, gear and builds. For ZoS to release an expansion with no new content and to take away from all of the above is not an expansion but a way in my view to extend the game life without contributing anything new but the chump system. Which in turn just takes from our exisiting skils, stats, and gear and replaces them in the chump system at over the top amounts of xp without adding new content thus forcing us to replay all the same stuff we have completed to earn back essentially the same stats etc. We have now over an extremely long time. Also 70 points to the ppl who have already completed this content is a slap in the face as new ppl will gain all the cp as they progress throught it and those who have completed are left high and dry.
If they made it progressive like adding new gear and content it would not be as big of an issue

Another thing that doesn't sit well with me is the continued delay of more solo content. I do have fun doing the Crag delve and story dungeons ( they are really fawking HUGE!!) they are extremely hard to do without a solid group, and a solid group is hard to find given my odd hours these days. I work evenings, so by the time I get home most people are asleep or winding down. Not only that the way the quest progression is in some of these dungeons even for repeatable quests, if you don't go start to finish with 4 people, you're screwed.
I was in a grp that managed to 3 man most of Shada's Tear until the second half, and we tried getting a friend to help as the 4th member. We still couldn't progress to the final stage because we'd killed one of the other bosses already and had completed the water cleansing part.
I'm hoping that once the foundation is laid that you have stuff to spend ON, they'll give you stuff to spend WITH aka more content in the form of IC, Wrothgar, and Murkwater. Both of those were marketed as solo adventure zones. I like running instances with friends and people, but at heart I prefer to play the game as though it were Skyrim with a buddy list.

At almost every WOW expansion, our stuff is just garbage and we have to renew it. In most MMO where a season system is implemented, our stuff is just garbage when the new season starts and we have to renew our stuff. This is quite usual in MMOs. And this not a problem.
In most mmo's the gear is replaced by newer better gear and new content...

- I understand that with the addition of champion points some balancing was required so that we didn't walk around in god mode, but why were they nerfed by that much?
- However, the champion points I have don't seem to make up the difference.Other people are finding the same issue. See this thread, and this one
- Does the total amount of champion points in the game= the amount needed to get back to our previous stats?Because if they do, that's totally not cool.
- How many champion points will I need to get my stats back?
- How much XP will I need to get enough champion points to combat the nerf?
- How long will it take me to get that much XP?

- I understand that with the addition of champion points some balancing was required so that we didn't walk around in god mode, but why were they nerfed by that much?
- However, the champion points I have don't seem to make up the difference.Other people are finding the same issue. See this thread, and this one
- Does the total amount of champion points in the game= the amount needed to get back to our previous stats?Because if they do, that's totally not cool.
- How many champion points will I need to get my stats back?
- How much XP will I need to get enough champion points to combat the nerf?
- How long will it take me to get that much XP?
As I pointed out in this thread- hardly anything levelled in a 1-10 manner.Regardless of the ratio, I think many people are finding that the Champion Points aren't making up what was subtracted from multiple stats in the conversion from live to PTS.FEEDBACK

This is amazing! So insightful that I clicked insightful on a bunch of your other posts. Thank you for bringing facts to the table. Wonder how the fanbois will react?

Probably as staunchly as the Negative Nancies.
I still see too many people writing this off without barely any thought. Heck just the other day a new version of the patch went live and introduced various tweaks. I've also been told recently that several people who were so vocal the other day have since then made an about face and retained or renewed their subs. Heck I even spotted one guy who'd stated his sub was expiring imminently days ago today during PVP.
I would like to be proven wrong in my assumptions and see more people come back or stick it out. Because in all honesty if there are people that can't be satisfied in this game than there's likely no other game that will satisfy them.
There's still 2 months to go. Week isn't half over yet. There'll likely be another iteration next maint period. Keep being vocal, keep being the squeaky wheel. Back up your arguments with math and suggestions. As much as I LOATHE Ezareth, he can spew out the dps and the numbers to back it up.

You think we want to quit after playing since beta?

Didn't want to cancel my sub for the same reason. But I couldn't justify paying for beta any longer. With two weeks of sub left, I've been playing on the PTS exclusively. Wish I could say it has rekindled my passion for ESO.
I may be back after it goes free. But there really isn't anything compelling me to continue.....except for PvP with DIG.
