The old max level was 50 the new max level seems to be 60.
    Is that what you mean?

as he already said, the max speed is now 60 not 50. You were max speed in 1.5 which is 50..... new max speed in 1.6 is 60...... therefore you are not max speed in 1.6 until you train it for 10 days lol

Mind if I hijack this thread and ask a related question?

From what I've read, when 1.6 goes live it will merge all mount abilities into a single "stat group" if you will for the riding skill. So if you have 1 horse with max speed, 1 with max carry and 1 with max stamina, your riding skill will start at 50/50/50.

Well I only have one mount atm which is 40 spd / 10 stam. Can I buy and train up separate crappy 17k horses instead of the 42k ones and get the same end result?

Yes you can. But you will still have to buy horses after 1.6 in order to unlock them.
So you might want to buy the crappy horse and the 2 expensive horses you don't own already.

Keep in mind, you probably only reach 45 on each horse till 1.6 goes live.

All of your characters will have their own stats so you might want to buy and train horses for more than one character.

So from what I've gathered, I would have to buy and train up 3 horses for each stat for every character I own to get the max carryover benefit on each character.

The biggest problem I have with this is, I am stuck with that horse skin, so if i buy 2, 17k horses, I will have the same skin twice which seems like a waste. My only other choice would be spending money on different 42k horses which i cannot afford.

I thought I had this change sorted out but now I am a little confused. Are the stats for each character going to remain separate? So if I have horses on my alts should I continue to buy upgrades for them?

And is there going to be no compensation for having multiple of the same horse? I have 5 alts, all with the 42k horses, so did I essentially waste my money buying those?

It looks like mounts no longer have a level and all 3 categories list a max of 60 so you might be able to cap out all 3 (speed, stamina, storage).
