Best 1.6 Ranged Magicka class

I know 1.6 is only on the PTS for a few days but I was hoping to get some opinions. I’ve returned after an absence of a several months and I’m looking to find which class from 1.6 going forward is going to be the best for a ranged magicka class. Before I left I had rolled a Nightblade (currently VR 9 on live) and he was a melee magicka type but w/ 1.6 that build really isnt viable and it was never might fav play style. I always preferred ranged and I don;t really carry for bows in this game. I know that “Best” can be subjective so I hope to clarify I do hope to do end-game PvE and and a little PVP. I don’t need the top DPS class necessarily but something that fits the bill of ranged magicka type and can survive soloing content (I don’t mean Veteran dungeons). In WoW i played a hunter and a warlock and in SWTOR I play a Commando (which I heal on now) and a Sage. I currently have a VR9 NB, on the PTS I tested a solar Mage idea but with only the template w/ no morphed skills its hard to try everything out. I figured now is a good time to reroll (if I’m going to) and make it to VR1 buy the time 1.6 goes live, I work and have a 2-kids and also SWTOR is my main game but I do enjoy ESO.

TL;DR: Keep my NB and go mage-style or roll a different class, if so which class is going to be the best mage archetype.
