Hi All,

Does anyone see any purple recipes with fourth component other than frost mirriam and bervez juice? Currently we have three versions - two of them cannot be found in game, but one can - pepper. On PTS I don't see third variety of the purple recipes - just two options: with frost mirriam and bervez juice and both of them cannot be found in the world, just obtained through hierlings... So the question is - have you seen third kind of recipe all components of which could be found in the world?

No. Use up your pepper now because the food will convert but the ingredient goes stale.

I put in /feedback on this as well. It does not seem right that we don't have the option to find any purple food ingredient in world and can only obtain through hireling or buying from other players.

Can anyone confirm if they've found another avenue to obtain frost mirriam or bervez juice?

Yes, Provisioning ingredients are going to much much more difficult to get in 1.6. I urge everyone to create all the V5 Purples they can right now in 1.5.

You can get 20 of each from writs. Between writs and hirelings, I believe they will be no different than oats and tomatoes are now.

Thanks, @BalerionBlackDread‌! So hirelings and writs are confirmed sources. Not everyone likes to spend points on hirelings but if the writs provide decent quantities that is helpful.

Does this mean definitely no to in world drops of the two purple ingredients then?

I've been poking my head in lots of crates and barrels. I haven't seen either of the two. I did receive frost meriam through a hireling and bervez juice from a crafting writ. Hirelings are now giving 20 of each item received (ex. 20 carrots, 20 small game)

Actually, new system is an improvement. Now there are two sources for rare ingredients. With writs, we get an additional source besides hirelings. But there might be a shortage of high level foods right after 1.6 release until stocks of these rare ingredients are replenished

I haven't seen any drop, and I've been gathering a lot just in the course of stealing.

Currently, the only places you can get them are indeed writs and hirelings. However, please bear in mind the drop chances and volumes have been changed significantly in light of all other changes.

We also may, in the future, add them to other sources in the world. We would want to do so in a way that retains their special nature as ingredients... So, it's likely it would be something more unique than just stumbling across a sprig of frost mirriam in the field or finding some bervez juice at the bottom of a barrel.

I was under the impression that the valuable provisioning ingredients of the current system would become the new ingredients required for purple food/drinks.

    Food: pepper, oats, tomatoes
Drinks: saaz hops, concord grapes, snowberry (not sure about those, I never craft drinks ...)
What's going to happen to them? Are they turning stale (worth 10g) or are they still valuable?

Patch notes: Significantly decreased the chance to receive gold boosters, gold aspect runes and purple provisioning ingredients from hireling mails.
I'm not sure how this will play out ...

I hope we never see any of those materials in the cash shop.

They already said you will get fewer "high level" ingredients from your hirelings in 1.6.
This is a sneaky way to force the writs down your throat, as no-one could be bothered to do them in 1.5.

I could not agree more! I found writs to be extremely BORING!
