Feedback for 1.6 and a few bug reports from my own experience

Greetings! I've now spent around ten hours fooling a little around with the new abilities, the champion and the Justice system. In this thread I will merely put a note of my experience thus far, and write about both the good, and the bad sides from the update.

Before I begin, its probably important to mention that I'm playing a stealthy Nightblade, so everything will be purely from a stealthers perspective.

Nightblade:

Shadow Cloak (Dark Cloak/Shadowy Disguise morphs)
- Shadow Cloak and its morphs once again needs more magicka than it actually requires you to cast. Just like earlier in the games life, this bug depressingly enough seems to have returned to haunt us. The Nightblade needs more magicka, than the cost of Shadow Cloak in order to actually use it.
- The visual effect from shadow cloak and its morphs (The transparentred effect on the player character) bugs out if the ability is used twice in a row, before the first effect has stopped. Leaving the character to appear normal. The effect however still seems to be active, as the player remains stealthed. The awesome red visual effect however will be gone.
- Depressingly enough, Shadow Cloak and its morphs does not function on Guards, and more NPC's seems to flat out ignore it. They will just attack the player regardless of stealthed or not, and keep on using their abilities like Talons and Fiery Grip.

Killer's Blade (Morph from Assassin's Blade)

- I do not know if I were the only one to notice this, but the health gained from this ability after a succesful kill seems to be much lower than on the current live. As the ability now scales off stamina, I sure hope that the health return does so as well?
- Killer's Blade is an AWESOME choice for a Stamina based ability, please keep it that way.
- The new animation for it is also cool, though I myself prefered the old one, where the entire hand was errupting with energy, and not just a blade coming out of their fists.
- The ability is really slow for some strange reason, and feels very lackluster when used in comparison to the current live version in 1.5. It just feels less powerful, and much slower when used in combat, and especially as a finisher. It's a magical blade after all, and should be quick and merciless, not slow and clunky.

Leeching Strikes (Morph from Siphoning Strikes)
- This ability seem quite weak in comparison to its morphed counterpart. Perhaps lower the weapon/spell damage loss, and give it more health gain? Atm, its quite useless I'm afraid.

The passive Cataclyst however should really be changed back to its former glory, the 8 ultimate pr potion used is quite lame, and very bad. An increase in potion effectiveness is much more useful, and seems to be more desired by Nightblades as well.

Vampire:

Accelerating Drain
- This ability is quite useless, and Midnight drain was much more superior and helpful in combat. While it only worked half of the time due to the day/night cycle, Midnight drain was more useful over all, than Accelerating Drain, as that ability is very sloppy, and almost outright useless in most cirumstances. I would personally prefer if this ability was scrapped, and Midnight Drain makes its return. (Not to note as well that Mist Form is waaaay superior than this, as there would be little to no reason to use Accelerating Drain over that.)
- Drain Essence and its morph sadly still seems to bug out often, in the way that you can't use it if certain effects is on the enemy player. Even with Immovable, or other such effects, the health steal should be able to be activated, just without the stun.

- The "Undeath" passive ability must be bugged, it says it negates damage up to 3%, previously it were 33%! This surely must be bugged, as 3% is just way too low.

Soul Magic:
- Somehow I ended up in Soul Magic Rank 7, even though I'm quite certain that shouldn't be possible! I have no idea how though, I'm afraid.

Animations:
- Strangely enough, everytime I used the walking animation, and walked up a small pair of stairs while holstering my weapon, my character would start to levitate without any animation beside the standard "standing" idle. I could do this all of the time on the brown staircase at the Craglorn dye-station.
- The new "Blade Cloak" ability from dual wielding has a tame effect in comparison to the old "Spark" ability. Perhaps consider using the old "Weapon Grind" animation from the old spark on the Blade Cloak, as it was more awesome, and gave a really cool effect in RP.
- NPC's while fleeing sometimes just run into walls and just disappear. This happened once in Windhelm where an Argonian lady with a blue shirt did as such to the side of the Enchanting and Alchemy building/shop.
- The animations however for pickpocketing and stealth are a great improvement, and needs to stay! They look awesome, and the new stealth animation in particular look much more realistic.

Champion System:
- The new top tier Shadow Passive is brilliant, please do not revert this back to the rather lame "Get a faster heavy attack while stealthed" you guys often mentioned in the ESO live. The new one is MUCH more welcome, and probably useful once we get our hands on it.
- Funny glitches seems to happen with the black/greyish background sometimes when opening the Champion System. I have no idea what causes it, but sometimes there is black "lines" in one side, and then the next time the other. Its entirely in the background though, so it does not block, or obscure the view.

Justice System:
- The Outlaws refugee are widely different and interesting! It was a real joy to travel around and see all of the unique styles for them in the different regions.
- NPC behavior seems to vary quite a lot, even too much at times with really strange behaviors.

As an example, I broke into a Dunmeri house and I was spotted by the Wife, she immediately told me to get out, yet instead I slashed her down to avoid a bounty. What I did not realise was, that the husband was inside. BUT the only thing he said were: "You can't do that, thats illegal" with a very lame voice, when you think about the fact that I just murdered his wife infront of him. Either that was a really terrible marriage right there, or something should really change, as the Husband didn't even bother to run out to get a guard or anything.

- The "Murder" achievement does not seem to work, as I killed several NPC's, probably over 70, yet no achievement was ever granted.
- It's a bit depressing that we can not attempt to steal the awesome items from the Undaunted Camps, why can we not have that beautiful crystal crown?
-- Bounties SHOULD NOT cross over across regions, and especially not factions! I can not even describe the dissapointment which flew over me at the moment I just did my duty as a Pact Loyalist, and slaughtered my way through Wayrest and narrowly escaping their guards with a roughly 37k bounty on my head. Only to ride home to Windhelm and watch as my fellow Pact soldiers slaughtered me for the crimes I committed against our common enemy. I mark this in deep black, as this is really something you need to change. All Bounties should be either Region wide, or Faction wide at the very least. We should never be punished by our own faction for committing crimes against our enemies, that is just silly.

Suggestion to that: To prevent players from just teleporting away to avoid taking the consequences of their crimes, instead perhaps lock the players ability to use Wayshrines and Teleport to Wayshrines, friends and Cyrodiil until their Heat is a flat 0, so the guards no longer would be on a look-out for the person. This would fit more well in with a faction wide bounty system, and would make the player think twice before committing a crime.

- I'm very glad to see that Vampires in Stage 4 is not a Kill-on-Sight, but instead feeding in public is considered a huge criminal offense. As strange as it might sound, I was satisfied when I fed on a citizen in Mournhold and immediately got top heat, with three Pact guards slamming me back to Coldharbour with their shields. Please keep this as it is, and do not make the Stage 4 Vampires Kill-on-Sight.

- Coldharbour seems to be completely ridden of crime, how can this be? I can't murder, steal or break into anywhere in the Hollowed city. It also seems to work as a safe haven atm for criminals, as they can go there safely with a high bounty and do their dirty loundry. While I think its nice to have a place where the criminal can relax and do all their crafting needs and so forth, I'm very uncertain if this is intentional or not.

The Wailing Prison
- Whoever came up with the new animations and ideas for encounters needs a cookie, and that is right now. The tutorial is better, more exciting and visually much more interesting. I can't even express how awesome it felt walking by a cage, and watch as the prisoners would throw their arms out in the attempt to grab me! Awesome job, and well done!

Only suggestion to the new tutorial would be to have a weapon rack outside the players cell, with all different types of weaponry for the player to choose from. As starting with a Two-Handed seems very unnecessary. Instead give the player the weapons their want immediately so they can start levelling it up and become more attached to that specific weapon.

UI / Settings / Menu
- Hey, we get it Zenimax, the Crown Store is coming and you would like us to buy stuff from there. (I certainly will!), but the placement for the menu icon is actually very annoying, even though that might sound quite silly. Its nice to have the "flow" of Inventory, Character Sheet and Skills. Instead consider moving the Crown Store menu icon inbetween "Notifications" and "Help", as that would maintain the current good flow in the menu buttons.
- The Collection tab is REALLY AWESOME! Lovely addition, though I would really like to see both Trophies and Disguises to be able to go in here as well, as they can quickly fill up our banks and inventory spaces.
- The glow Intensity should be seperated for all three types of enemies: Hostile, Neutral and Innocent. The red and yellow (To I) are quite perfect, but the strong grey glow in all the towns are way too strong, and could really use some adjustments. But currently, that is not possible, as that also lowers the intensity of the neutral and hostile NPC's. Please consider making a slider for all three types of NPC glows, so we can decide for ourselves how intense each one needs to be.

Additional feedback:
- I'm not aware if this is intended or not, but everytime I sprint my stamina regeneration drops from 1091 to 401, and stays there for a few seconds, is this intended? If not, that should really get a fix!
- As an Ebonheart Pact Loyalist, and with our great capital Mournhold being as depressingly small as it is in comparison to Wayrest. It's even more depressing to see the very royal guard, the Hand of Almalexia being so weak in comparison to the Pact Guards. The Hand of Almalexia are there to protect the very Lady of Mercy herself, and should be strong enough to do as such in case of an attack! Giving them a nice big upgrade like the Pact guards roaming the streets would be very delightful.

Final notes:
This patch is HUGE, and it contains so much content. Be proud of yourself Zenimax, for you have truely impressed me as an MMO veteran. This game as grown much quicker than past MMO's I've played, and the content you keep bringing has been amazing time after time again. (Though please.. fix that darn' Shadow Cloak already!) This update however, beats it all, as ESO now truly feels like a proud successor to Skyrim with a good piece of MMORPG within it.

The new Stamina morphs for several class abilities is an awesome addition to the game, and I'm really happy that I now fully can make my dream Pure-Stamina Assassin build, which this very patch made possible with the addition of Killer's Blade and Surprise Attack to the stamina pool.

The animations overall with all the new type of weapons are really cool (And god damnit that Healing staff idle animation is really awesome!) and the more general fluidness of the combat mixed with abilities was a much needed addition to the game. Not only does it look good, but the new sound effect and small subtle visuals are really nice, and flavors the combat very well.

I really hope this feedback and few suggestions can help!

    Additonal notes part 2!

    - Killer's Blade (Morph of Assassin's Blade) is really slow for some strange reason, and feels very lackluster when used in comparison to the current live version in 1.5. I also made a small video showcasing a bit of the Justice System, as well as my own rambling and commentary to the given subjects:

Though it's a bit long, so you're warned!
