Was the guild member in the same faction as you? Also, there should be a cart in the major city of the second zone to take you there without needing to travel to player.

yes was same faction, I tried to port to anyone at one point, right clicking the menu doesn't even have an option to port to player from guild window now

From what I saw, if you have any heat, the port to player is not an option. If you don't have any heat, you can.

I had the same problem. Couldn't port to people in my guild window, but the same person in my friends list, I could port to.

You also can't do 'invite to group' from the guild window, but you can from the friends list.

I was not given the option to port to members within my guild who are in the same alliance as I am. Will this be corrected?

I have the same issue. can no longer port to player in guild list. yes same faction. was also unable to invite guild members to group. forced to do so from friends list or they had to say something in guild chat to right click on their name

We really need to know if this is a bug or a change. I've used porting to a random Guild member as a shortcut around the map since the game was released. (It's a huge advantage of belonging to large trade Guilds, since there is always someone of your Alliance on). Now, perhaps "they" want to nerf that ability and force us to pay the wayshrine fee - but if so, we need to be told.

Also, not being able to invite Guild members to group from the Guild roster is a real problem. Most of the people I run dungeons with are Guildies. It's easy for any of us to ask in Guild chat if anyone wants to group, and then use the Guild roster for invites. Even more importantly, if you're running a Guild event, you want to be able to invite everyone of the appropriate Alliance for the event. Typing eleven other names is a bit of a hassle.

So please tell us - bug or feature?

If it's a feature, it's a BAD feature. Please tell us what possible advantage there is to this change. I can see nothing but an irritation and an inconvenience.

Why shouldn't I be able to invite from the guild roster? It makes no sense to me. Surely a large part of the purpose of a guild (barring, perhaps, the trading and crafting guilds) is to be able to group with your guildmates.

My friend list is for FRIENDS. I like all of my guildmates, but I never see some of them because we play at different times or for whatever reason. I'm not putting 100 - let alone 500 - names on my friend list just because I want to duplicate the functionality that the guild tools used to have.

I'm pinning my hopes on it being a bug.
